|oletennessean||awesome, thanks for the help, i wasnt sure how the paint would work exactly as the only thing i've ever really used rattle cans on are my rifles, will try it, figure if it doesnt work the way i want can always paint back over it|

|tjt94||There is specific spray paint for fabric and upholstery. It does not crack or ripple. Do whatever you want. I just offered my firsthand experience with doing what you want.|

|Casotakar1229||I would not spray paint it, but I think there is a way to dye it. spray paint will more than likely crack and ripple after putting that soft top up and down.|

|termite||It could be done, but with a soft top I would use a vinyl die as opposed to the normal vinyl spray paint.|

|tjt94||I painted some very faded nylon saddlebags a few years ago and they came out great. Go to any auto parts store and get the fabric paint. The paint held up way better than the fabric did in the hot sun that we have here.|

Not sure exactly what spray paint would do to the canvas on a soft top over time.

spray paint a soft top?
wondering if anyone has ever spray painted a soft top and if so was it a color other than black and how long til it needed touching up? wanting a tan fastback soft top preferably to match the exterior color of the jeep but know it'll never happen so was wondering what my options were
