Nich Also go with throw away paint brush as I didn't clean mine as it seems like it would be a bear. So I used a different brush each day. Harbor freight brushes so inexpensive. Honestly a 4" brush is all u need. I used a small roller on the first coat but quickly abanded it and went brush only.

Nich I know a couple people who broke there seat bolts trying to remove them so use some wd40 or equivalent. Mine came out with no problem but like I said I paint my floor and bolts ever spring so mine were pretty much rust free.

Nich First removed seats etc. Then shop vac the whole thing. Then cleaned with bucket of warm water with dish soap as dish soap does dissolve grease etc. Then shop vac again. Then sanded messed up paint area then used 220 grit on whole thing to scuff up vac again then started painting it on. Seems like alot of prep but it was quick as with the seats in it is a wide open area.

Nich As far as no floor mats I have tan husky liners as I think the texture would bother my feet eventually as the stuff is little ruff being bed liner and all. Hope it lasts as I am sick of painting my floor every year to stop rust.

Nich I bought one gallon from walmart and I did 5 coats started friday and just put seats back in an hour or so ago. I still have some left from the original gallon. I used the spray on stuff on my mirrors and door handles I did three coats on them. Bumpers are next. Make sure it is going to he a nice couple days as u want the doors off and the top down as the stuff stinks bad when its wet.

slyr114 ya my hope is that doing the front half will alow me to not have to bother with floor mats but my only concern would be how hot it would get barefoot and if it could hold up well. Thanks for the reply i figured only doing part would not be bad but i just wanted to make sure. How many coats and cans did it take to do the front half? Thanks!

Nich I took the front seats out did that entire area didn't do from the rear seat back as paint is still good. Don't see how it could effect anything. I used the rustoleum brush on kind. I know alot of guys use the rattle can but I didn't want spray everywhere. I will also post about how it holds up after a few months as I am ruff on my interior. Also might paint it depending on how hot the black gets as I don't have carpet and im barefoot all summer.

Bedline just the front area?

Was wondering if it was ok to just bedline the front area where the floor mats are? The rest of my jeep doesnt really get used or beat up on the inside so i was wondering if anyone has just bedlined the front areas?
