I just did calipers and pads this weekend and it's about $25ea Caliper and $25-$30 for the set of pads which does both sides, so maybe atmost $50-$75 for them.
You'll need brake fluid to bleed the brakes and a friend to help bleed them as well.
Make sure the resevoir is filled before you start bleeding the brakes, so you don't get an air bubble in them. After you bleed one side, check the fluid level again and then refill if needed before starting the other caliper.

If you release pressure at the caliper bleeder screw, fluid squirts out with force, and the wheel begins to rotate as normal, then the line may be collapsed or the vent port in the master cylinder may be clogged.
If you release pressure at the caliper bleeder screw, fluid drips as normal (gravity bled), and the wheel is still locked, then you should scrutinize the caliper as the suspect.

|BigTxRdnck||A lot of times with vehicles subjected to dusty/dirty conditions the calipers will get hung up on the slide pins so make sure to pop those out and clean them and apply a light coat of grease on them.|

|Kevbz||brakes are cheap to do yourself, expensive to have someone else do, for the amount of labor involved.|

Most likely it's your calipers, i had the same thing happen abt a week ago. It would pull to the right when i let go of the steering wheel, and cut left when i would brake. So i put it up on the lift and both front tires were locked up. So i got 2 new mopar calipers, cost me about $200, labor done for free by my brother who works at Jeep.
Don't let them over charge you for parts you don't need! It's only the calipers!

how much do you think that would cost??

|gmiller0737||Your going to need to replace the caliper,Best to replace both front calipers,Loaded Calipers will come with new pads,Not too hard to change out but you will need to bleed the brakes,You should be able to do it if you have done pads before it's not that much harder,BTW Go Mountianeers!|

Driver front side brakes stuck??!?!?! :(
it was working fine, and i stopped to buy mice for my snakes. Got back in and i felt its pull to the one side. then smelt brakes. I stopped and jacked it up and took the tire off and the caliber is like stuck! HELP GUYS! i dropped it off at an AAMCO. and they said they were going to look at it in the morning.
said that they would probly need to replace some things. I can do the brake pads by myself, and dont want them to mess with them and cost me a fortune in time.
please help fast! thanks
