Welcome to the Forum
You're right about that. Nothing but a Wrangler feels like a Jeep.

New member, WK2 to JK
My first adventure into jeeps was a '11 GC I bought right after Xmas. I got a good deal on it and enjoyed it a lot, but it only had Quadratrac-1 and no trail-rated badge. Drove like a dream thought... Needless to say, I never felt like I had a Jeep, just an SUV with a jeep label on it.
Last weekend, my local dealership contacted me that they were desperate for GC's, so I went in and they gave me what I paid for in trade-in + invoice on a 2012 JK sport with lots of bells and whistles + upgrade to sahara wheels/tires for invoice + $500. Took it and ran and now driving around in my new 2012 sahara tan JK.
The drive is rougher, need to get used to cranking the windows, no remote door locks, but am MUCH happier.
Something about a Wrangler just feels right! Looking forward to obsessing over it.
