Your jeep is rated for 2000 lbs. towing a bike or atvs is just fine.

When you get into an emergency maneuver situation with that much boat behind you, that boat is going to take over and you and the traffic surrounding you will be in a heap of doo-doo. Really. No exaggeration. You'll find out very quickly what the term 'Tail wagging the dog' means in a heartbeat during any emergency maneuver with that boat behind you.

The max safe weight limit for a TJ is 2000 lbs. and that is truly its max realistic safe tow limit which hasn't been artificially lowered by the safety weenies.

I tow a tent trailer behind my TJ which weighs maybe 1800-1900 lbs. and the Jeep does fine.

Bumpers with integrated receiver hitches are fine, that's what I have run on two different TJs, especially since those don't drag on the terrain like a bolt-on receiver hitch like from U-Haul or Reese would.

Do you have a equalizer hitch or air springs , something like that? Seems like that boat would really squat the back end of your Jeep.
