Cyrojeep [QUOTE="ATG;14206665"] I've been through Chicago a few times. Beautiful city. Most times I was just passing through from PA to WI to visit my brother, but we spent a day at the Field Museum and had a couple of the best hotdogs I've ever eaten from a vendor cart.[/

The city is known for hot dogs, pizza, and great steaks! Just wish we had some rocky trails....

That crack should be easily fixed for around $60 with epoxy and a special light. I just repaired mine from a local windshield repair guy. My windshield had a little bigger than a quarter size crack and now I never notice it.

Check that Safelite is OEM rated. I like Pilkington glass as replacement.

Now I just need to get a good first aid kit for one bag and start building a survival kit for the other. Feel free to give suggestions...

safelite is ridiculously priced compared to local shops.. I think they wanted something like $400 or $500?to replace mine and I found another shop who was able to do it for $200 (non mopar windshield)

Cyrojeep Installed my repaired grille that was damaged from a flying brick (it would be great if a lower barrier shield could be affixed to the hood hinges).

Installed my LED headlights. Now when my off-road lites are on, my alternator can breathe a sigh of relief. Seriously better light output and beam spread than stock lamps.

Do you add watermarks to the pictures of your Jeep?

Anyway here's what I did.
After removing the different cover for a routine fluid change I decided to paint the cover, it needed a little touching up so I thought I would go ahead and paint it red. I already had some farm equipment paint on hand, I'm pretty sure it will hold up to any temps that might be reached.

Cleaned

I know you posted this a long time ago but I too have a 2010 JKU Sahara and that exact part has some rust growin on it for me. So I was curious if 1) That is a tough part to remove and work on? 2) If I treat it with por-15 or just scrap and paint does the paint need to be able to withstand high temps? Thanks!
