This is "normal surface rust" from my dealer. After 3 weeks battling with them, I decided to do the job myself. At least I know it is done right. With the winter coming here soon (It is supposed to snow this week-end), I was not willing to wait more. They put salt on the road here... it would not help the situation.

What did you use? Looks good now...

Sea-Dated Had a Teraflex 3" lift and 36x13.50 IROCS on Raceline bead locks installed yesterday. PSC Bumpers and Rocker Brawlers are in powder coating and should be installed next week.

My 4 year old thinks it is monster truck now. LOL

Not sure why the first picture rotated, it displays fine on my PC.

Oh, and hubby was happy I "let" him drive it already. Hehe
I like my Bushwhacker flatties. Pain in the butt to install but worth it.

WTON Finally got rid of all the branding. Read all the tips of how to take off the stickers. Tried all of them... Man that glue did not want to come off my 2010. Anyway, after some serious elbow etc. so happy with the clean look. So happy in fact I snapped a pic on my way out of the liquor store tonight.

That is absolutely not "normal surface rust." From the pictures it looks like there was inadequate prep/painting or defective materials. It also looks like the undercarriage was exposed to salt or some other corrosive substance. I note particularly the badly rusted penetration seal. You should not be paying to correct this on a new vehicle. This was either factory, shipment or storage error.

Thekylehelm Well today was a good day. Installed my Rubicon Expresa 2.5 lift kit with 5100s, Teraflex exhaust spacers and slapped on my 35 Bfg KM2s! Little tired now needless to say. Start to finish about 5 hours in my garage. Extremely happy wih how it turned out.

I guess if you drove it around a bit before it fully cured it would be fine.

I go underneath with a spray can once in a while and touch up the rust . they don't do rust treatment where I am,they only do rock guard and I sure don't want all my after market lift part to be rock guarded lol
