RedBones I do believe the director was arrested having a melt down in public and he was nude. So he would be in jail.
Google is your friend.

GoldenSahara00 Read that about an hour ago, its from the huffintonpost (sp) which is about the most unreliable website I have ever seen. They even said on the site that reports suggested it was him, but there wasn't any definite proof. It may very well be him, and honestly I don't care. I don't neccessarily support the group or what they are doing and how they are doing it, but the idea and the thoughts behind it are what I agree with.

DevilDogDoc Is the irony of this too much?
founder of 'Kony' video group detained in Calif
By ELLIOT SPAGAT | Associated Press – 33 mins agoEmailNew: Now the email button gives you a quick and easy way to start a conversation.
tweetShare4PrintSAN DIEGO (AP) — A co-founder of the group behind a viral video about a brutal African warlord was detained by police and hospitalized after witnesses saw him running through streets in his underwear, screaming and banging his fists on the pavement.

Jason Russell of Invisible Children was hospitalized for exhaustion less than two weeks after the release of the 30-minute video he narrated about warlord Joseph Kony, said Ben Keesey, the group's chief executive officer.

"Jason Russell was unfortunately hospitalized yesterday suffering from exhaustion, dehydration and malnutrition," Keesey said. "He is now receiving medical care and is focused on getting better. The past two weeks have taken a severe emotional toll on all of us, Jason especially, and that toll manifested itself in an unfortunate incident yesterday."

"Jason's passion and his work have done so much to help so many, and we are devastated to see him dealing with this personal health issue," the statement read.

San Diego police dispatcher transcripts show neighbors began calling around 11:30 a.m. Thursday to report that a man was running around in his underwear in the city's Pacific Beach neighborhood.

"(Subject) is at the corner, banging his hands on the ground, screaming, incoherent," the transcript continues. "People are trying to calm him down, he's been stopping traffic."

Police Lt. Andra Brown said a 33-year-old man was detained and taken to a hospital for medical evaluation. He was never arrested, and no charges are planned.

"At this point, the police department's involvement in the matter is done," Brown said.

Russell, a San Diego native and graduate of the University of Southern California's film school, narrates the video, which has been viewed more than 80 million times on YouTube. In the video, Russell talks to his young son, Gavin, about Kony and the Lord's Resistance Army.

Gavin's birth is shown at the beginning of the film. At one point, the boy sums up what his dad does for a living.

"You stop the bad guys from being mean," he says.

At the video's conclusion Russell says, "At the end of my life I want to say that the world we left behind is one Gavin can be proud of, one that doesn't allow Joseph Konys and child soldiers."

Gavin replies: "I'm going to be like you dad. I'm going to come with you to Africa."

The video's overnight success has brought heightened scrutiny to the San Diego-based nonprofit over its tactics and spending practices.

The group has been criticized for not spending enough directly on the people it intends to help and for oversimplifying the 26-year-old conflict involving the LRA and its leader, Kony, a bush fighter wanted by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity.

The group acknowledges the video overlooks many nuances but said it functions as a "first entry point" that puts the conflict "in an easily understandable format."

Keesey, the chief executive, released a video on Monday to respond to questions about the group's finances, including the amount of money it spends on travel and operations. He said money that directly benefits the cause accounted for more than 80 percent of its spending from 2007 to 2011.

"I understand why a lot of people are wondering, 'Is this just some slick, kind of fly-by-night, slacktivist thing?' when actually it's not at all," Keesey said. "It's connected to a really deep, thoughtful, very intentional and strategic campaign."

Russell has perhaps been Invisible Children's most public face since founding the group in 2005.

"We will always love and support Jason, and we ask that you give his entire family privacy during this difficult time," Keesey said Friday.

GoldenSahara00 Immaturity is overflowing from this thread

I understand and agree with your points jeep girl, and if you want me to address them all I will do so via PM. The great thing about our country and type of government is that some people can do one thing, while others do the opposite. If we were really worried about wasting time and money with military action we would pull out of all other countries, which btw, we have a military presence in over 150 countries. The real problem is their government is trying, but just like many other countries, corruption is broad and not truly in control. I honestly don't think there is any right way to get rid of a deep rooted government that has destroyed a country. Look at Iraq and afghanistan, how much money we poored into them, and if we leave now like we are attempting too, things pretty much go back to normal unless we get lucky. Thats the problem. You can cut off one head but ten more spring up. I don't think I have the answers, thats why I'm not in Washington calling the shots. If I knew everything I sure as heck would be. But what I do know is that its not right to let anyone suffer like that, and if I have some power to help, I should. I am 100 times more fortunate than 99% of the human population. I don't take that for granted. That's just how I look at it. I love helping other people.

JeepGirLHaz would you go over there and risk your life for someone you don't even know? ofcourse on the interwebs u can say u would. i would but i would need proof that kony really does exist still...
03-15-2012 12:24 AM
JeepGirLHaz Im not agreeing with what hipster said above. but i do think we need to figure out what the f is going on with our crap before we jump to another place all together and try and help out another country. with that being said. i feel like there gov should step in and do something like wtf are they doing about the LRA threat? why should we jump just because the IC say jump? not to mention ive been looking into the kony2012 stuff alot and it seems like its all well and good there spreading awareness for kony but there also making bank on it. check the store there selling costume jewlery for 2500 bucks like you kidding me? not to mention theres been rumor that the owner of said charity doesnt do anything else but that and makes a 100 G a year off it? do you have all the answers to these questions? like i feel it should be taken care of but when was the last time anybodys saw kony? from what ive read 2006 was the last known sighting of kony... so why should we jump to go track down a guy that might be dead already???? not to mention the fact its not even one of the 50 states. we have sooo many problems here we need to take care of rather then spend money and troops to deal with a problem there gov should have done if they havn't already. im not being narrowed minded here im just laying out the facts. have you seen the shape of our country reasontly? and you wana go to africa? yeh..... this has been happening for years ontop of years and nobody cared... now all of a sudden we need to start playing the game? seems abit off possibly a scam. the threat of Kony is real but the possiblity that hes alive is 50/50 who knows.

Your entitled to your opinion and I am glad you shared it. This is mine:

Attitudes like that are the whole reason we have those problems here. If I had that attitude I would say look there's none of that around me, why should I care. Not my problem. "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing". Sitting back and saying something shouldn't concern you because it doesn't directly affect you is cowardly in my mind. If we had sat back and let wwII happen without getting involved, the world could be different. But people knew what the RIGHT thing to do was. Now a days people lack that discretion.

I agree there are a ton of problems in our own country. But how many of the people complaining about them actually actively try to change those things for the better? Very few.

It surprises me how many people will jump on a topic and flame it to pieces without really understanding it. This guy is trying to help someone. Let's assume that is his pure goal and there are no questions about if it's a scam or effective. All you know for sure is someone is legitimately trying to help someone else in need. What would you do. Stand by or give a helping hand. I know what I would do.

Now by no means am I telling anyone what to do. But to hear people say that they don't value a human life and talk so badly about a charity that does more than they will do in their life to help another person is extremely ironic and disturbing.

Would you want someone to care, or want someone to not even bat an eye as it all happened to you, saying their own problems are worse.

jmo here but i've said for many years it doesn't make sense to me to send money/food/etc. to various regions in Africa if you don't FIRST secure the area so that your donations go to the needy - instead of the creepiest crappiest warlords in the area.

what you cannot protect - you cannot have (won't have for long).

i was glad to hear about that guy,
i don't understand why any so-called relief org doesn't perform this basic FIRST STEP before they go wasting their time and everyone's money, further feeding and facilitating the most evil in the area.

i do sometimes still donate to charities there but it's way limited, because of this reason. i mean way limited, like this year was the first time again in about 10 years; i give to charity every single year, it mostly goes to places i know are doing something useful with it. i'd be happy to buy bullets for this preacher! (need to look into that...)
