Colorado

Last week I drove my JKU to Colorado for the fall foliage. I got some mud on her on the "Last Dollar road" by Ouray and Telluride.

Colorado Hidden Gem: Last Dollar Road | Colorado.com

It was the easiest rated off road in the area. The only nerve racking thing is it is one lane for miles but not one way so going around curves where you can't see is a little stressful. About 10 years ago I got in a wreck on an one lane road in Colorado. This time I didn't come up on anybody the whole way.

Hoseman A couple of days ago I swapped out my turn signals and side marker lights with some clear leans components.

Here she was with stock lenses -

and here she is post install with the new clear lenses -

with the amber bulbs included in the kit it lights up just fine (and legal) -

looks cool when it's parked or with lights off, but I have a tendency to run with my headlights on all the time so i guess it kind of defeats the purpose... oh well.

somegeek Those are awesome for that price! I may have to put a set of those in my jeep.

I could almost see putting these under the side of the jeep like courtesy lights to light up the ground.

After two windshield replacements in the first two months of ownership I got knicked by a rock then a couple weeks later a gravel truck threw a rock creating a quarter size spider crack. Instead of getting a third new windshield I decided to just have it repaired since it wasn't in the line of vision. You can still see the impact point but sure enough I haven't had a rock hit in over a year since then. I am sure that if I had replaced the windshield again it would have immediately gotten hit.

I got the idea from poison spider rocker armor and wanted to see how it would look before I did it. I might try some diff colors.

Shifty219 Wasnt today but over the weekend had a friend come for a visit to wheel our trails up here. 3/4 the way down the first trail, the northern Ontario wilderness bit his TJ

Good times tho, a trail that is usually about 45 min long took us almost 4 hours to get through. So much mud from the 3 weeks of rain we got. My kids loved it, never heard them cheer so loud when I sunk my JKU lol

Owned it for two weeks and got hit with a rocked this morning on the way to work. Guy at Autozone said nothing they had really worked and safelite is the way to go. It was $78 to repair but that's better than wasting $20 on a kit that doesn't work and then another $300 or so on a new windshield. Plus if anything happens after they fix it or put the price you paid towards a new one. And the gave me water and pretzels while I waited...
