|1994JeepYJ||I would really check for cracks or rust spots. It's commin from somewhere...you'll find it eventually.|

Mine is driving me insane! It was leaking really bad. I cleaned out the tube under the hood. Doing that made water stop coming in from the center of the dash. Now all I have left is a good sized leak on the driverside. It's a crazy amount of water. It almost seems to stay in the dash until i move the jeep. Then it pours out on my feet!
I replaced the cowl seal. No help there. there has got to be some place im missing.

|1994JeepYJ||i had the same problem. my cowel was cracked and was allowing water into the cab on the passenger side. after i fixed that water was still getting in so i cleaned out my cowel drain tube and cut the tip off to make a bigger exit hole so mud and gunk wouldnt get stuck and clog it up again. now only a tiny bit of water was getting in...and that was from the tub weld on the lip above the transmission...apparently there was a tiny little rust spot on the lip that was letting water in...but the amount of water it let in was very small so ive neglected to fix it. so check those areas.|

|944.0||Agreed. After my phone fell in my floorboard and I almost wrecked picking it up before it fried in the puddle that formed there. I got out and yanked that tube off and at least a gallon or so flowed out. Never had that problem again.|

|Jayspaff||I had this same issue for months until I had to replace my engine. While I was doing that I noticed my drain tube is made to where it is flattened at the bottom. I simply cut the bottom off to where it was a straight tube and flushed it with air. Never had a problem since.|

|Dutch 95||The tube is the smooth gray one going down running through the oval hole in the firewall.|

Ya know, I've seen that in some images before, and I'm not honestly sure, It may be a manufacture year difference.
Sorry to repeat what you said cd84, I was actually composing mine an uploading the pic and got a bit delayed by a phone call. Hopefully the image helps anyhow.

|Dutch 95||Another thing to check is the actual drain tube. You can see it in this image just to the right of the battery holder. It's the 1 to 1 1/4" tube running down the firewall. Ours was plugged from top to bottom with mud. You can see it in this image|

|cd84||I looked for a long time and came up short on solutions. I found that most of mine came from body seams on my fenders and where my tub meets my cowl part not the actual windshield seal. I had that replaced, siliconed my body seams and it still leaks a little so I'm just dealing with it for now but also the cowl vent has the drain plug that may be clogged if you haven't looked yet. Also that vent could be cracked letting water flow in near your heater vent|

|DILLIGAF||Yea I have seen others ask the same thing and the answers were to remove the plastic air intake cover on the hood and clean out the intake box and clean out the drain line did mine as a preventiv maintenance thing.|

Water inside after rain!!!!
I can't be the only one with this problem but for some reason I can't find threads on it. while its raining and after it rains I get water coming in from behind the dash onto the passenger and drivers feet. Not cool. Any ideas?
