|rics1997||Great product but wouldn't advertise (on my Jeep) for 15% but I guess someone will. I would do it on my travel trailer I take to events though|

Now wheres my t-shirt!

I agree this is not for everyone. This is simply for the customers who have planned on purchasing all of these components and we wanted to help them out with a discounted rate to show our appreciation.

In all fairness, 15% is probably like selling them at cost for ACE. The price of steel has gotten exponentially out of control. My dad runs a shop and I've asked him to ball park making bumpers, sliders, etc. of the same quality, and it would cost more to home make them (because of powder coat, low volume).
I think this is a way for them to distribute their marketing budget to more people. They are, essentially, paying $300 per package, to up to 50 states. That's 15K, for 2 rigs per state. Quite a lot of money for a growing business that has many needs for such capital, be it expansion, sustaining, R&D, etc.
I'm for them spreading the love, even if it's in a smaller portion. Rather than spending 15K on what, 15/2 = 7 ish rigs.
It makes sense for them to do this. And, believe me when I say, they aren't milking their customers with their current prices. They have very reasonable prices, I didn't realize how reasonable until I checked the cost of similar materials and time to make these things.

Lol what did I start?!
Seriously tho.... I mean i don't even know what their stuff looks like, I don't even know if they make it for YJ (which is what I have) but I do see from their perspective that 15%off x 2ppl per state = a lot of money. I'm not on business or marketing but I imagine that a more substantial discount to fewer people in a selection of states (markets) where they know would have a higher demand would b much more profitable. Why? Because I think sponsored vehicle would obviously get more and more of their products since they would have a great discount and plus ACE would have less sponsored vehicles to look over n ensure they're putting their name out there or following their sponsorship "contract".
I don't know.... I'm hungover, this all probably didn't make sense lol but list my opinion.

|jeepkingtn||Pay to do a company's advertising? What a deal!!!|
|03-22-2012 03:05 PM|
EDIT: Crap, sneck just beat me to it. I'll leave up the breakdown anyway..
The math on the "Full House" setup...
[Item]: [Retail] / [15 Discount Price] (Savings)
Front Bumper: $435 / $370 ($65 off)
Rear Bumper w/Carrier: $685 /$582 ($100 off)
Sliders, 4 door: $295 / $251 ($44 off)
Fenders: $595 / $506 ($89 off)
Total: $2,010 / $1709 ($301 savings with 15% off)
I was excited about this at first, as I'm planning on ordering the sliders and maybe bumpers soon, but to save only $300 to plaster those large decals all over my jeep, isn't going to happen. Still love ya Ace, but maybe just a smaller sticker like Skawt suggested by the Wrangler decal and maybe another on the back, plus I'll brag about it off road.

Of course, the fact that their stuff is already dirt cheap and 100% badass does help to offset it. I'd love to hear who else you can get front and rear bumpers, a tire carrier, metal fenders, and rock rails from for 2k, let alone for 1700! A poison spider tire carrier alone costs 1300!
|03-22-2012 03:01 PM|
|MickeYJ||They should do like 50-75%. Shoot, you could probably find a sale somewhere n get like 20% WITHOUT all their other stuff they want u to do.|
|03-22-2012 02:38 PM|
|SilverBolt||15% off of retail is sponsorship???? If a company wants that much advetising realestate on one of my rigs it will cost far more than that.|
|03-22-2012 01:59 PM|
I agree that 15% is a bit low considering the size of that graphic. A smaller graphic by the wrangler sticker and maybe tailgate would be perfect.
I am in the market for a front bumper and am sold on the ace rock rails. Could be convinced to make it a package deal and add the rear bumper with carrier but don't care for the fenders (I actually like the idea that they are plastic and cheap, no worries if they get ruined and need replacing)
|03-22-2012 01:47 PM|
|MickeYJ||15% ? Weak. They should do better than that ...|

Its a great deal for those that can get in on the deal. I am not sure how many jeep Adam is opening this up to but we have talked about it for a while. I know of one JK that already has the "ACE" setup.
|03-22-2012 12:56 PM|
I would do it all except the graphics.
I love Ace, but it's MY Jeep.
|03-22-2012 12:53 PM|
|Casotakar1229||would be cool, but I have my own plans in mind. ACE products seem awesome though. only have the rock rails (would recommend to others) but I may end up getting the rear bumper as well!|
|03-22-2012 10:32 AM|
|sneck||If I didn't have a front bumper already, I would do this, since essentially the only thing left to buy would be the flares; and with they discount theyd pretty much be free!|
