NFRs2000NYC Well, just went on Qtec and the guy is right. They do indeed have a different fender for painting. Live and learn.

NFRs2000NYC The shop is telling him that it's the "wrong one" and that there is a smoother one. He got a replacement OEM fender I think from Quadratec.

Fender questions for a friend of mine...

A friend of mine with a 2012 Arctic JKU got smacked in Manhattan a few weeks back, and damaged his pretty painted passenger front fender. He ordered a new one. It arrived, and when he brought it to the body shop to get it painted, they told him it's the wrong kind of texture. Is there a different fender one must buy if they are going to get them painted, or are they all the same and the body shop guy is clueless? Thanks for the help!
