04moneypit I switched mine to prestone extended life and had no problems, and it's an '04. Hope this helps.

Odhinn Mine is a 02 4.0 I always just use prestone extended life. I have never heard a special coolant used in them. Unless there is already a kind of coolant in the jeep that can't be mixed with anything else due to an unwanted reaction. If that is the case you can just drain what is in there out. Flush the engine untill there is nothing but water coming out of the radiator. Then put what you want in there.

Coolant Brand and Type??

Hey guys-

What brand and type of coolant do I need to get for my 02 Wrangler? I noticed on the coolant bottle under the hood that there is a big tag saying "special coolant required". The owner's manual doesn't really give any specifics. I'd like to get one that I don't have to dilute. I was changing out the oil today and noticed there was hardly any coolant in the bottle (Well below the add line). Any suggestions?

I changed out the spark plugs last night with Bosch Platinum +2 and it is running so smooth now. It was pretty easy considering I am not a car mechanic-type.
