gr8fulKID I am running the Kc slimlights 130w long range light on smittybilt brackets. The smittybilt brackets push the lights a little more to the outside of the windshield. Id say go with a quality light since they will last awhile if you plan on using them often.

So...probably gonna buy some D2's for my front bumper, but wondering how to mount em. Might be on top of the winch, but I think I'd rather put em on the bar atop my bumper. I could drill it, but I'd have to get some pretty long lag bolts to go all the way through, and there's the whole rust issue (even painted) with non-compatible metals...any kind've adjustable brackets you know of? Something I could clamp AROUND the bull bar?

Hit me up and I'll let the whole bikini thing slide.

KC Makes some tube clamp light brackets.

OP, I have a set of Rigid Dually's on my windshield in the spot pattern and a set of Dually's facing the rear in the flood pattern. I am going to mount a flood 10" SR bar on my winch fairlead too. My Dually's on my windhsield are with some KC brackets. I would definitely suggest the Dually or D2 depending on the money you have to spend.

Nikko-007 At your Dodge Chrysler Jeep dealer you can get HID Hella 35W lights. It's insane, and they offer them in all colors from 3000k to 12000K

pprice72 Think it would be pretty easy. Just buy some of these...

Baseline 4x4 Outfitters - 11503.83 - Rugged Ridge Off Road Light Mounting Bracket Fits 1.5IN - 1.75IN SPORT BarS, Universal Application

Weld or bolt a flat bar to the tab, drill two holes for your lights to mount, and done.

Or just buy two for each light.

Rugged Ridge makes some clamps for their overrider bar on the XHD bumper. Betting it could be used for yours. Or you could fab up your own.

Here is a thread I found while searching for the Rugged Ridge clamps. Has a good example of a DIY solution.

Phillips57 I run this rugged ridge kit I bought last spring on my 2006 TJ and I love it. Works and looks great. Only complaint I have is the lights housings have a plastic film peeling off it. I'm been working to pull off the films and it looks fine now. I can load up some picks later if needed

MrAugie Anyone ever try these LEDs that look like the Duallys but are less expensive?

the Kolector I'm leaning toward the Warn W650D light and the M.O.R.E windshield brackets since they come with a gasket to protect the paint and they are less expensive than other brackets.

EDIT: But of course so does the Rugged Ridge linked a few spots up and its even a few more dollars cheaper. HHmmmmmm, decisions, decisions.

kbwwolf If you're gonna mount lights @ the windshield, make sure you buy driving lights, not fogs. Fogs will spread the light over your hood and cause glare; plus they don't project light very far. Driving lights for the windshield, fog lights for the bumper.

There are tons of variables to choose from. You can go with LED's, such as the Rigid Duallys. Or wireless, like the WARNs. All sorts of configurations.

Here are some links to lighting options, placement, install, etc:

I am a firm believer in learning from others mistakes. I love the look of the driving lights mounted near the bottom corners of the windshield. Any suggestions of brackets you have experience with as well as type/brand of lights mounted in this position. Thanks for your time. I look forward to years of information to fuel my passion for our new 2010 jk sport.
