I would personally look a little harder than the one you posted, but unfortunatly it is the wrong season to buy a Jeep Wrangler for cheap. A 6 cylinder and a hard top will fetch more money, but will be worth it in the long run.
I would plan on doing a 4" lift instead of the 2" you mentioned for running 33's. You may get lucky and find one already lifted. As mentioned previously look at the underside for rust, especially on a Jeep from up north. Good luck

|4Jeepn||Look for a 91 to 95 with a 6cly engine.. these will have fuel injection. As for the jeep above seems a bit high but price will vary.|

Rust is going to be your main concern when looking for a Pre-95 Wrangler. Check the undercariage very carefully. If its covered in extreme amount of undercoating and spoungy to the touch they are probably hiding massive rust.
Pay special attention to the driver and passenger floor panes, and the frame, especially from the rear shock towers back.
Here is example of how mine started to rust even though i had a undercoat.
Use your fingers/hand and push up on the floor pans.
A big thing I do is look and feel the car, take your hand and lightly glide it over the surface area's. Your looking and feeling for waves, high, or low spots. These can tell you if its been wrecked, or damaged in someway.
Cosmetics asside if the engine and trans are rebuilt then find out by who, did they give a warranty with it. ( In my experience most trans rebuild shops give a warranty) [At least around here] 1 year]
Finally even though the Jeep is beautiful in the pictures, I wouldn't pay more than 5000 to 6000 for it. If you get there and its been pro rebuilt trans/engine and is imaculate condition I might go 6500 to 7000 for it.

Looking to Buy a Jeep
My wife and I are looking to break into the Jeep scene. We are looking for a pre-1995 Jeep and are going to be using it as a daily driver/weekend toy (5000mi/yr). We like the look of offroad (2inch lift, 33-35 tires), but it will be used mostly on the street with very light offroad usage. An automatic is a must because my wife doesnt/wont drive manual. We saw this ad and were interested but my question lies with the fact that it's been rebuilt. Are most rebuilds reliable? What should I look for? That many miles on the chassis, should I be concerned? I understand things break but I want to avoid a complete money pit. Thanks!
