|Priscila_06TJ||ladies.....ooh holidays! my friend has been sending me stuff for halloween..every week I get a box delivered. I want it to be september 31st already.|
|Today 05:34 PM|
Oh man, I am so excited for the holidays now!
Pintrest is dangerous...
|Today 05:33 PM|
RoseBud - that sounds exciting! I hope you get it!
Rubi, there are plenty of online Jeep shopping sites, but Quadratec and Morris 4x4 are two good reputable ones. There are locking boxes of different sizes for different locations, so it just depends on what you want to lock up. I have something called an InstaTrunk in mine that fits behind the rear seat so when the tailgate is locked there's a secure area big enough for a purse or a few shopping bags. The downside of it is that you really can't put the backseat down or take it out without taking the top part out. It's just a few screws, so it's do-able when needed. But check out Qtec and Morris, they have lots of things to tempt you to spend your paycheck on, lol

RB that sounds cozy...like MMC said fingers crossed....
JrRubi....hmmmm well I carry nothing...but there is lockboxes and cargo nets and dust covers for rear to keep your stuff from flying out...I took my rear seat out, its useless to me. But the other girls have shovels, saws, and road kits..I guess it just depends on wat your using jeep for. Mines my DD and I have a short commute to work, and if I take it off road someones always with me with gear.

[QUOTE=mommymallcrawler;13569953]Fingers crossed Rosebud!
Going out to play in the desert today!
Mommymallcrawler, i like your quote.
Exactly. Can you share with me what those emergency and recovery gear are ?
|Today 02:54 PM|
box, where did you place it ? Etc. Im also interested in what to carry around. 1) all the time 2) when you're heading out of town. Thanks girls. This too is my first jeep. I traded in a sedan to go get adventure ! : )

|Jeepalicious||Oh RB - that sounds awesome - plenty of space & renovating can be fun!!! We have a looong gravel driveway & when we get a few feet of snow the Jeep is the only vehicle that can make it in & out without a plow! I want silkie hens so bad - but for now just settle for the neighbors wandering over on occasion|
|Today 12:15 PM|
It is a cute tri-level with a beautiful maintained front yard with a lavender bush. Driveway is a little jacked, but we drive jeeps lol. Cute little living room on the same level as the kitchen. I want to paint the cabinets...puke green with white trim over dark wood counters, ehh. Two beds upstairs with a bathroom that I would like make bigger. Two bedroom down stairs and a laundry room. GIGANTIC backward with a covered deck and a sand pit, perfect for a fire pit. So much room for everything we want!
We are thinking of getting chickens! Just gotta teach Wrang not to eat them

|Priscila_06TJ||MMC...lol on your sister...hope her pup is gonna be ok, have fun and be safe|
|Today 06:53 AM|
Fingers crossed Rosebud!
Going out to play in the desert today! A group of us who didnt have big enough tires to go on the other run folks were scheduling made our own bunny trail run lol! My younger sister was going to go, but her doggie ate a bag of yeast and ended up in the doggie hospital! Aside from the obvious yeast rises thing which would hurt the tummy, I guess in dogs it turns into alcohol and they can die from alcohol poisoning. The vet said her doggie will probably be ok but just to watch him closely for 72 hours. I will try to drag her out next weekend. She says she wants to go now that its not stupidly hot here anymore. Yes she is the same sister who asked where the button was to put the roof back up because it was messing up her hair when I had my freedom panels out a few months back. I warned her my Jeep is roofless and doorless for the forseeable future so will see how it goes.
My Lunatic is still in Samoa for work. Cant wait for him to get home!

Oh good! I like that you can set your own preferences and it displays the icon based on those. Here are mine.
|Yesterday 03:54 PM|
|Priscila_06TJ||Woop woop its made for the Galaxy! Thanks|
|Yesterday 03:39 PM|
It is very accurate but doesn't notify. Which I keep finding out the hard way, ha! I have my phone on vibrate and you can't put the app in Notification Center. But I keep it because of its accuracy and the jeep icons are cute, top off or top on.
|Yesterday 12:14 PM|
|Priscila_06TJ||which weather app you runnin?|
|Yesterday 12:09 PM|
Sunny with a chance of Nekkid!! Soooo happy the weather is holding out for another week.
I be bopped around town a bit with her just to drive my Jeep. She rides in a soft sided travel bag seatbelted in on the passenger side. I think now I will stay home, I just had to get out and drive for a bit.

Pretty neat Cyndi and Ana on furniture refinish...never done that but I love projects.
|Yesterday 09:59 AM|
Ha ha, the shovel has many uses, from digging your wheel out if you're stuck in sand or mud, to digging a potty hole if you're out in the boonies. The saw can be used to clear a trail or cut firewood. The Instatrunk does get in the way of putting the rear seat down, but I have a pick-up that I use for hauling. I got divorced 25 years ago and the body has never been found, lol.
I used to refinish old furniture quite a bit, my mom and I would go to antique auctions, yard and estate sales, and then repair and refinish them. Most of my furniture is refinished antiques or "collectibles."

|Yesterday 09:35 AM|
|Jeepalicious||^^ Yes! I have a telescoping shovel as well (so far only my son used it for digging up rocks!). Also have a winter "kit" but I haven't gotten a locking box because I frequently lay the back seats flat down (I trash pick furniture to refinish for fun) - for body disposal I keep a container of lye (j/k on the last one - little NJ mafia humor)|
|Yesterday 09:28 AM|
|Priscila_06TJ||Cyndi...shovel??? Folding saw???......disposing of bodies???....lol and Goodmorning!!!!|
|Yesterday 09:23 AM|
|CyndiB||Good morning all! In addition to the basic tools, jumper cables, etc., I carry an emergency kit in all my vehicles. You can buy pre-made ones for about $25 at Walmart. They contain water, food bar, blanket, flashlight, mini first aid kit, etc., the necessities for one person for 3 days. Even if you don't go out on the trail you can get stuck in a snow storm, dust storm, earthquake (in CA), freeway mess, etc. I've added a multi-tool and some other extras to mine. I also carry a folding shovel and folding saw in my jeep. I have an InstaTrunk behind the back seat so I can lock everything up.|
