krbshappy71 Good Morning everyone! Capt'n Jack has to stay wrapped up today, more rain on the way. Looking ahead it gets to be naked until Saturday!

Going to play with the tarp some more before the next storm hits.

Here are a couple of peaceful pics I took at Pine Barrens. I hope you all have a relaxing day.

Jeepalicious Cyndi ^Damn, that is a great idea - never thought anyone would put half doors on CL but it's worth a shot (as if I'm not on there enough - I love CL already) - beauty of a Jeep btw - the black will look great but I actually like chrome (I'm a pimp at heart)!

Good morning ladies (& G-gent) - Happy Labor Day!!! Hope you are all off or earning fat OT/comp time!!!!

CyndiB Sometimes you just have to be in the right place at the right time and be diligent about checking Craigslist and eBay. I got lucky with my wheels, they are pretty uncommon, especially to find 5, but I just kept checking CL every day and jumped on them when they came up. Now that winter's coming, people may be swapping out their half doors for full ones, so you might find some.

Priscila_06TJ Yeah they came with half doors..ive seen them around. I like my full doors just prefer the half door look. Especially in the summer. ive looked at those just not a fan of the look.

G54 I also like half doors, and hate taking off and on full doors, which is why I'll be getting the Bestop soft doors for warmer months. Can be easily removed, their light weight, and can be stored in the back in case of rain. And you can remove just the upper half and run lower half only. For under $500, cant really get half steel doors for that. Just a thought for y'all. Downside is they only come in black fabric like the soft tops

Hmmm, I'm not too familiar with TJs, did they come mostly with full doors? I would love to have the option of full doors for winter because zip-up windows are a real pain. I might try to find some uppers with sliding windows.

CyndiB I like your jeep Priscila. Mine's white too. I've been debating painting the chrome bumpers black (probably use plastic-dip to see if I like it) and I have some gambler wheels I bought that I need to have mounted. Trying to decide if I want to stay with 33" tires. The gamblers are mounted on 31s with some decent tread, so I'll probably just put them on and run them for awhile.

I would only be doing this if it is sitting at home, though, like today for the weekend. Hubby thinks we should try the backside next time. Shrug. Anyone use regular tarps? Any tips?

I hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend.
I use a tarp and bungees and never had a problem. I wrap just over the windshield and go all the way back as far as I can. Hood doesn't need to be covered but I make sure anything open is covered and I bungee it to the bumpers and wheels to keep it down. Cheap and efficient

Priscila_06TJ I've got the bestop trail cover and it's amazing..i believe this is my third season with it. I did buy the tailgate bar and clips so it could attach to the clips. Only time it got wet was when I didn't secure the clips to the rear. I use it when I'm doorless and still manages to stay dry. I ordered on Amazon.

Hm that's not a bad price! We had the tarp already on hand, we will play with covering it again next time, right now it's a stormin'!

CyndiB Good morning all, I've been lazy all morning but think I'm going to work on my jeep today. I bought some rollbar covers that need to go while the weather is still warm. I think 100 is warm enough, lol

We saw a group of 3 jeeps as well but we were on our own, we left about 1:30 pm - 2 pm out onto 206 farther down. HAD A BLAST!! We did quakerbridge road to the end, turned around after seeing the museum stuff, and stayed to the left "Basto" trail and WOW!! WATER AND MUD ACTION!! My jeep did awesome, I did the driving and we never got stuck. . I am HOOKED! I can't believe how fun it was and that my Jeep could do that being completely "standard" No modifications.
