Very nice! Like the color!

So after filling up the tank at $50+, driving an hour to the four wheeling park, paying $20 to get in, Air downed all my tires from 32 psi to 12 psi, ONLY to find out that not only is the front air locker not working, the rear one is intermittently locking and won't stay on. I didn't even leave the parking lot (grassy field) the hour I was there trying to get the dang things to lock, no one else could get them to lock, and said a) there must be a leak, b) something was installed incorrectly when regearing, or c) the air pump has gone bad.

Back story-

About 2 days after I bought the Jeep in March, it spent a week in the shop being re-geared, (new jeep and I couldn't even drive it!), $1200 later, the mechanic said he noticed the air line was leaking and he replaced it, charged me for it, and he successfully got both lockers to lock and run smoothly. Well end of April, at an event, I am working my way up a trail, go to lock my axles, and the front won't lock, the same one that he said he fixed....Ok, I lock the rear and get out of the trail, finish the day. Get home, you can hear it pumping, trying to lock and it just won't. Everyone says easy fix, yet they can't fix it yesterday.

WELL now the mechanic won't stand behind his work, won't even acknowledge my problem, and NOW the rear locker won't stay on. After all this hassle yesterday, I decide to go home after spending a crap ton of $$ for nothing and a 2 hour round trip, and 15 minutes at the gas station airing up my tires, I was ready to post the darn thing on eBay last night and get rid of it.

The bf talked me out of it, said we would work on it tonight, try to figure out which of the three options it could be, and try to correct it. He said we would try to find a new axle mechanic, which I know one but he's super busy. But seriously, what mechanic doesn't stand behind his work, and the fact that he's independently owns his own shop and the only one that works there makes it harder to get anything resolved. UGH

Sorry ladies, just needed to rant and I know I could do it here without being judged. You can bet that I'll never go back there.
Awe ...sorry to hear bout the troubles. Sounds extremely frustrating!

corigirlloves I called metal cloak this morning, unfortunately right after I hung up I realized they are in a different time zone so they're not open...hehehe, I left a message though!

You must have a bangin sound system in that jeep of yours! Give me some advice then! I finally have a sub in this new jeep (Thank goodness, in my old jeep there was NO bass) and I love it, but I think I can get better sound....what're you using? School me! I want to get a new dash radio that either has an SD slot or audio jack, I am using a FM converter through the cigarette lighter and I'm over it.... In the old jeep, i had a Pyle boat radio, so it was waterproof, it was great. And at the time when we sold that jeep, I thought I had sold the factory radio, turns out, I found the factory radio last month so I could've kept the boat radio but I didn't think I could at the same time so now I have to buy one! (The boat radio was free, came out of the bf's hummer since he was replacing that too!) The JK's are fancy schmancy and more than 2 bolts so they don't fall apart as easily as the TJ's.

Apparently, after some research, Caraway Mountain is one of the oldest mountains ever, it was apart of the Piedmonts which ran from Florida to like Upper Maine I think, but it was apart of the first super continent before Pangaea millions of years ago, and it survived all the continental drifts and survived so it is older than the blue ridge mountains. Kinda crazy to think about. Tennessee would be the capital so Nashville I'm assuming, which we are not leaning towards, we'd rather go Greensboro or South Carolina which would be Columbia. But he's also saying Virginia and West Virginia are in the running as well.

hahah that mud line made me laugh! You're completely right though! When I wheeled cleopatra the other weekend, when I found out my locker wasn't working, I was in like the tiniest stream possible that was creating just enough mud to sling everywhere on everyone on everything, the inside and outside of the jeep was covered, we were covered. And it still keeps appearing, and the seat belt is stained and the seat covers have little specs all over it and some how, under the seats keep getting mud clots and dust and dirt. IDK HOW!

This so called "boot camp" are hour long sessions with marine trained trainers, so anything from weight lifting, to olympic style snatch's, to running, to crazy obstacle courses like pulling tires in a parking lot! It's exhausting but a good workout, and now that the bf will be doing it with me, I think we'll be motivated to cook right and eat healthy while doing it, we're both motivated enough to do the boot camp which is next to a walmart so we can get food to cook while we're there. lol

I've been doing Color guard (with the marching band...not the ROTC) since 2003, and I have been coaching with my schools now for 1.5 years. I love it. I love teaching and it's something I enjoy so I couldn't ask for more. I lead them in conditioning so they can with stand the heat in mid July and August when it's crazy hot and they're outside for hours and hours working. We do some things I've learned from the boot camp as well as some of my own exercises and work outs, I'm going to try and get the band director to let me lead conditioning throughout the entire band just because i heard some horror stories about the person who lead it last year and how inappropriate it was for high school students like cursing and making them throw up and I don't believe in that for high schoolers anyways....

Happy Memorial day weekend all! Just in case I forget since I'll be working all day. Wish I could slip away for the trails, or the lake, or at least a cook out....
