It sounds like it is a complete kit with all 8 control arms but in my opinion if going over about 3.5" of lift and planning on using for a daily driver and want good flex for off-road, I would recommend a long-arm system.
I am a huge supporter of long-arm suspension systems if going over about 3.5" in lift. The geometry of the control arms and the caster as well as the shortening of the wheelbase as they go up deters me from standard arms in these lift ranges.
The more parallel to the ground you can keep the control arms the better.

I had this kit on my previous jeep. It was a complete kit which included all eight adjustable control arms (with Rock Krawler joints) front and rear drive shafts, brake lines, etc. Trailmaster is owned by the same company that owns OR-Fab. I would have looked at this kit again except my 47 year old knees told me to consider something with a little less lift.

From what I've been learning/reading about after the mistakes on my own rig, most recommend that if you DO want to rock crawl having a lift more than 4" in height without coil overs as it is an extremely bad idea.
But, ultimately, it comes down to what he really wants to do with his rig If he doesn't want to do anything but have an aggressive ride, there's no need to worry about coil overs! He'll still need a ton of other upgrade though....

I've never heard of em, though, and that in itself gives me pause. Of course, there's probably a buncha Jeep stuff I've never heard of...

I really thought about going with the trail master lift when I I was trying to decide on lifts. I wound up going with Rock Krawler. The biggest thing I would be worried about with the trail master lift would be spring sag. I'm not sure what type of springs they have and if they would hold up to weight or not.

Honestly, if you want to go that height, after I've learned making some of the same mistakes: you'll want to go with an extremely expensive coilover system.
It all depends on what your REAL goals are. (As kbwwold said).
Going that high will require a lot of changes, and we mean, a lot.

|sneck||planman got the trailmaster long arm kit, I didn't find any negative posts by him about them. Not sure how the normal kits are, but if planman runs it, you know its good stuff|

|Revyjku08||Yes anything over 3" of lift you start getting into big money territory (adj LCA's, Driveshafts, longer links, adj Track bars). Also, Lower Center of Gravity is your friend...less tippy feeling and better for off-camber situations off-roading! Smaller lift and flat fenders will do the trick for larger tires!|

Don't go cheap on your lift. Save that for grab handles or something.
And why 4.5"?
Completely unnecessary on a JK.

I don't know squat about Trailmaster lifts, but . . .
First, that is a huge lift for a JK. Why do you want this much? You could run 40s with that kind of height.
Second, in general, when considering lifts over 2" or so for a JK, going "cheap" is a terrible idea. You are significantly changing the geometry of drivetrain components, suspension components, and steering components. It almost CAN'T be cheap.
Hopefully somebody with direct experience will be along shortly . . . .

4.5 inch trail master lift
I'm looking into buying a 4.5 inch lift and the trail master is significantly less expensive than most...is this a piece of junk? or is it worth doing? thanks
