oh, Bob, where were you when I needed you??
A black top is on my list of wants, but haven't been looking too hard for one yet I'm sure I'll find a good deal when I'm ready.
I agree about the 400$, that's pretty high for a '98, but bmanrkg3, good luck with the sale

I bought a BRAND NEW top on ebay still in the MOPAR/Jeep box with all of the bows and hardware for $265. It had come w/ a 2006 Wrangler supplied new with both tops and the owner had no desire to ever use the convertible top.
They show up all the time on ebay from dual-top buyers.
I wanted Spice (the ebay top was black) so I resold it and bought a brand new Spice from Collins Bros. Jeep for $227.
I would think $400 for a USED top would be mana from heaven!
You never know, though.
Hope you get lucky,

|bmanrkg3||yeah, its the hardware and all...|

|khenderson||if you are selling it with factory hardware and everything you could get up around 400 for it. but like bob said, ebay is a great place to get an idea of what they are going for right now.|

Why not put it on ebay and let the market decide?
I bought a brand new top for my '00 w/ hard doors for $227 recently, so I would gess somewhere between $75 and $100 if it's in good shape w/ not tears or bad zippers or stitching.
