Welcome Irish!

Priscila, vinegar is supposed to neutralize the smell of cat pee, but I've never tried it. I don't think I could stand it if my jeep smelled of cat. A feral cat sleeps in my jeep when I have the windows off, but so far it hasn't desecrated it, and it patrols my barn for rats and mice, so I figure it's a trade-off to give it a place to sleep that's safe from coyotes.

Glad I found this thread! My husband bought me my first Wrangler (we've had several other Jeeps over the years--2 Cherokees and 1 Grand Cherokee) on Saturday. Yes, it is MINE. He has (and much prefers) his little Saturn commuter car. Stands to reason--it gets 40mpg, and is actually more comfortable than my new (to me--it's a 2002) Jeep. Since he commutes 200 miles a day to and from work in the big city from a small town on the coast where we live a block from the beach, that kind of thing is important to him! The new Jeep is just a "toy" for me. A giant, lifted, rock crawling "toy" :-). The only previous owner was also female, and although she paid big bux to have it fitted out for off road fun, she never did any, and in the end, decided she needed a honkin' huge diesel pickup truck to haul her horses and their trailer with, so she traded this pretty red Jeep in. Now it's mine, and even though I need a 2 step stepstool to get into and out of it, I love it! I doubt I'll ever get rid of it. I've wanted a Wrangler, Willys, or CJ for decades, since my (step)father used to buy, modify, and race them, one at a time. He'd buy one, fix it up, race (drags and mud courses) it and modify it until it was a consistent winner, then sell it and buy another. His last Jeep, a Willys, was inherited by my niece upon his death. Anyway, he instilled in me a love of these kinds of machines that has lasted to this day. To say I'm pleased is an understatement! Glad to see there are other female owners, here. The testosterone was getting a bit thick in other threads :-).
I'm a girl LOL I own a 2007 Rubicon, I call her Ruby. She has a 31/2" Rubicon Express lift on her.

Thanks for the tip I wouldn't mind if my jeep smelled like coffee, though, love coffee!

krbshappy71 I'm beating a dead horse, I know. But I just might try a dishpan of water on each seat. Surprise kitty kitty and harmless.

Priscila_06TJ Lol krb we know...I love using that phrase too. Im not fond of cats simply cuz im needy lol and like my pets to be affectionate. Dogs are suckers...they love giving Affection And Receiving. Only cat I have serves her purpose, hunt and kill. But cats in jeep yuck...the smell stays forever. Forever in my case has been two years.
krbshappy71 Oh and I do like cats but this was gross and I've just never had it happened before, I've checked the Jeep every day since I bought it and I've never had evidence that they have been in it, they lay under it in the shade. I would never hurt a cat so I think the box will be a non-hurting option, and even if they get into the back of the jeep at least it won't be the front seats where I sit, I am allergic to cats.

I dnt think any of that works. My trailcover just helps keep them more cozy. Last season when I put jeep back together I started to smell cat so I took it to get cleaned but idk if that smell will ever leave.
I will test out my "box of rocks" idea and let you know if it worked or if I ended up with a litter of kittens in a box.

CyndiB Good morning all. It's National Coffee Day, so I hope you got your pumpkin spice latte Priscila!

RoseBud13 You ladies are just so awesome. No, the house is still going good. Snaked the pipes, some roots, but nothing huge. We asked them to fix it and you can watch the video on YouTube! We went looking for a new bed and started to make a 'want' list. I can't wait for my workout room gets established!

I had a lovely weekend, worked on Saturday and chilled with my parents yesterday for my sisters birthday. Josh was a little annoyed that we didn't get to go on a drive, so we gotta plan one for this next weekend. We started a Jeep club to try to make some friends, but its hard to speak out about it haha. We're gonna get stickers made and I'm trying to think of a logo.

Good morning y'all!

For the first time since I have owned the jeep the neighborhood feral cats got in it, apparently had a fight, there was blood and fur ALL OVER THE DASH AND SEATS omg so disgusting I had to scrub it all down with disinfectant wipes, the steering wheel, the shifter the E BRAKE the everything it was so gross!!!

I have an idea, I think if I put two boxes, one on each seat, and a cement block in the bottom, they cannot get on the seats, if they did get in the box it would not be comfortable and even if they stayed there the fur would be in the box
there goes the kitten population
