Yikes, I dont think mine is that bad but I havent tackled those bolts just yet, prob ought to go spray em down with pb right now. The new frame looks really good there so I as long as I can get the skid off the old, im good! Thanks for the pic and input
I guess I should start a new thread for the frame swap pics and stuff

I don't quite know yet as the body is still on, it looks good underneath but the mount could be in the way too much to see. The floor boards are all good so I am hoping for no surprises. Tub and engine/tranny/t case coming out friday! I'll post more pics after that. The one body mount that spun got corroded due to the rear fenderwell liner tearing and letting that tire kick crap up in there over the years.

|kshaws21||Check the t-case skid. Where it bolts to the frame is a major place for rust and you really can't see it till too late.|

|Curro||How are the body mounts on the c-channel under the tub? Usually when the frame rots that bad it starts to take the tub with it.|

Finally a Jeep guy again!
I'm a new guy here but not new to TJ's, this is my 3rd one and I am not selling this one! Ha. Never joined the site before for some reason.
Anyways, the new to me jeep is a 97 TJ sahara, no d44 with just over 180k on the stock 4.0l. Not worried about that, what I am worried about is the frame! It was a one owner vehicle from Vermont(bought in New Jersey) and the frame is rotted and rusted bad. SO....
I got a used frame last weekend from an 01 and have started teardown. Picked up the frame for $600, not great but close to home( southern MD). Got the TJ for $5000 and the body/interior is almost perfect so Im happy with it. Now the hard work begins, Ill post pics and updates on progress. I know many others have done this so if you have any suggestions let me know. Money is available but not endless, main thing is I want to do it right the first time! I'm sure I will have some questions but have already learned alot from trolling the threads on the subject. Thanks talk soon
The pics show some of the rust but it gets worse in the rear areas. I had a rear pass corner body mount spin on me and found out why- got it out just need to fix the nutsert and close up the frame back there.
