Thank you all for the reply. I tried another cable of the same brand and it does work fine now.
Strange thing is that I never plugged out the cable for ages. So it is definitely not wear and tear.

|Dragonfyr||More than likely aux input is fine. Try a new aux cable. I've got an 09 jku x, I'm on my third aux cable. I never listen to the radio, so I'm constantly plugging and unplugging aux cable for my iPhone 4. I just figured it was wear and tear on the plug.|

I would still try a different cable - a different brand. Sometimes the mini-plug seats differently depending on the brand.
If that doesn't work, I'd suspect a solder joint is working it's way loose in the jack, possibly the ground.

Aux Input Stopped Working
About two days ago when I plugged in my iPhone 3GS into the stock radio, via a standard 3.5mm plug in my 2008 Wrangler JK Unlimited, there was no sound, instead there was a buzzing sound.
Then, the left dash speaker started working and then it all stopped with no sound at all, except the buzzing.
I have tried two different mp3 players, but to no avail. Tried off and on.
The FM and AM Radio still works with all the speakers working at volume, but does not work with any mp3 player. I have tried the 3.5mm cable with another stereo system and it still works.
Please let me know what I can do about the buzzing sound or even the aux input.
Thanks in advance!
