Marine Fast Cure 5200 Adhesive Sealant :3M US

I was looking at the kit (and diagrams on the instructions) that AEV was kind enough to send me, and something dawned on me. The new bumper has the same channel along the top where rust formed on the first bumper. The repair kit came with sealant to put into that channel after removing the rust and before repainting.
I am now thinking I ought to seal that channel now as to prevent rust. its just boat sealer.. wonder if you can get that in black.... don't feel like painting haha

It also allows you to adjust the TPMS sensors, idle RPM, daytime running lights, and some other stuff I didn't play around with.
It made the jeep go from feeling sluggish with 37" tires to accelerating and shifting more like a stock jeep. I used to be at 3k RPM going 40 now its at 1.5k RPM. It revs less and the MPG went up by 2 MPG.
My Jeep had 4:10 gears when I added the ProCal and it made a big difference. I have since recently swapped to 4:88 gears, and added gussets and sleeves to the axles. The change to the lower gearing isn't as drastic of a change daily driving as the ProCal but I knew it needed to be done running 37's.

|loud pipes||Mine's ok. A little high but the spray pattern hits pretty broad. Sometime u can adjust the nozzle direction by using a pin from the outside of the sprayer in and gently pulling the nozzle in the direction you want it to go.|

Anyone else have an issue with the center mounted windshield washer sprayer? Mine doesn't spray anywhere but the center of the glass. Bugs infront of the driver, forget about it. I can see why they went back to the two squirts version.

My brother in law and I trimmed the fenders on my Jeep last night. Next tires, tyres for you euro's, will be 35's or slightly bigger.

|JaysGolf||haha, just after i submitted that post, my phone rang. was my service writer, Chrysler wants "different pictures" of the bumper. good grief!|

i have been at my dealer every monday, the last 4 mondays... not for the rust, but i ask every time.
mind you, i'm not being rude or gruff at all, i'm being a gentleman. however, i'm just not going to give up.

|TNTChris||I took mine into the dealer almost two weeks ago and still have not heard anything...I have the rust in the same exact spots as you guys. The service writer asked how often I washed the jeep and I told him once a week and his reply was..."there you go that's the problem"? WTF? I didn't know a garaged 20 month old car was suppose to rust????? FYI, I do dry it off after washing it!|

I gave up on the front bumper.... It was too wide for me and rusty so I chopped it into a stubby and painted it up.
She's a little dirty but this is after I got her new tires on.
35" MTR's with RE 2.5" coil lift. Still need to do arms/trackbars/tie rod flip/bolt upgrade, rear tire carrier w/ spare, some more armor underneath, winch... the story never ends.

Just wanted to put my experience here about the bumper too. I had some peeling of the powder coating on mine. Brought it in and got Chrysler to approve replacement. Had a new bumper on the following day.
Also, for those with a hard top, there is a service advisory about the t-tops leaking and filling up with water. It happened with mine and so I had to get that replaced too at the same time. Just something else to watch out for. It was awesome. After hard rains, my top would fill with water and I could hear it sloshing around and I would get a shower each time I turned or stopped. Lol.
