i have been at my dealer every monday, the last 4 mondays... not for the rust, but i ask every time.
mind you, i'm not being rude or gruff at all, i'm being a gentleman. however, i'm just not going to give up.

|TNTChris||I took mine into the dealer almost two weeks ago and still have not heard anything...I have the rust in the same exact spots as you guys. The service writer asked how often I washed the jeep and I told him once a week and his reply was..."there you go that's the problem"? WTF? I didn't know a garaged 20 month old car was suppose to rust????? FYI, I do dry it off after washing it!|

I gave up on the front bumper.... It was too wide for me and rusty so I chopped it into a stubby and painted it up.
She's a little dirty but this is after I got her new tires on.
35" MTR's with RE 2.5" coil lift. Still need to do arms/trackbars/tie rod flip/bolt upgrade, rear tire carrier w/ spare, some more armor underneath, winch... the story never ends.

Just wanted to put my experience here about the bumper too. I had some peeling of the powder coating on mine. Brought it in and got Chrysler to approve replacement. Had a new bumper on the following day.
Also, for those with a hard top, there is a service advisory about the t-tops leaking and filling up with water. It happened with mine and so I had to get that replaced too at the same time. Just something else to watch out for. It was awesome. After hard rains, my top would fill with water and I could hear it sloshing around and I would get a shower each time I turned or stopped. Lol.

|back in the game||I ordered the kit and fixed 2 bumpers. The repair in good. Be careful what you tell Chrysler though, in their warranty because if rust is caused by de-icing chemicals their warranty does not apply.|

On the aev website, go to the tire carrier for 759. The part number ending 25AA is the upgrade. Since it is out of stock, you can't click on it but same price as the quad link above.

|JaysGolf||regarding the rust on the front bumper, my dealer took photos and submitted them to Chrysler with the hope of a replacement. he said there's a possibility since rust is covered. ~fingers crossed~|

|OregonTrail||Has anyone bought the AEV Tire Carrier for the Rear Bumper? Is it plug and play. I'm assuming it is a direct fit for the bumper? Anyone know of a good place to purchase it?? Does AEV products ever go on sale?|

|docbott||Received my AEV bumper repair seal kit. Basically you clean the rust out of the seam then apply sealant. Then spray paint with AEV textured paint. Everything is included in the kit except I am using the Dremel to clean out the seam. Once I do it i will post some pictures.|
