Basically what makes these better is that you cannot just go to an auto store and get the key. Each set is unique. The inside and the outside of the lug nut will spin unless the key is in and locks both edges. They give you a sticker, for in the glove box, that has the code if you happen to loose your key to order a new one.
I was looking at the lugs and it didn't make sense how they spun. Well it ends up there are 2 types the ones that have only a unique lock and then also the ones that have the spin feature added shown here. Item# 61681B5
Gorilla 61681B5 $15.23 Wheel Locks - Set of 5 Acorn/Tapered Seat, Chrome 13/16" Hex Key Included 1/2" x 20 Thread

It seems like the spinning kind would fill up with mud.

Sorry I didn't notice this before I posted before

This is what I am running on my JK in black anodized and I just ordered a set in chrome for my son's ZJ. One thing I particularly like is that it uses a 6-spline socket that is smaller in diameter than a standard socket so less chance of scratching the center cap.

R4D4R X another for Gorilla. I got mine from DTD when I got my black wheels. Came in a box of 24, I think, each with the splines for the key. The 24 set is for 4, 6 lug wheels, but 4 x 5 = 20 + 3 for the spare = one left over for a keychain or something

StealthJK I oredered the set of four locking gorillas in black and the rest gorilla black regular. -- Cheaper

mijku Procomp sent me free splined nuts with my wheels. One extrememly mild winter and the are rusted already. Are the gorillas good against rusting?

Gorilla is the way to go

I have been digging through threads about this myself today. It looks like the gorilla is your best bet. You can get them in a 5 (part# 71481NB5) or 23 set.

Basically what makes these better is that you cannot just go to an auto store and get the key. Each set is unique. ANOTHER OPTION FOR YOUR SPARE
I find these Heininger Automotive HitchMate® Spare Tire Lock(shown below) to be intriguing also, but they got crap reviews on amazon. It seems if there was a quality product like this it would help deter people from wanting to break into your car to find your lug nut key. I guess if they are that motivated you may well be screwed anyways?

Manufacturer Part No: 6027

Master Craft also makes something like this but it will not fit over the factory lug nuts. Someone on amazon said they were able to get it to work with a smaller aftermarket lug nut. Shown below
