I thought the 5100's were adjustable?

Michigunman You don't hear much about it on here but if I were starting from scratch I would seriously consider the Full Traction Ultimate 4" lift with some OME shocks.

02Prove Don't be afraid of a small body lift... You can do all sorts of nifty things later on should you decide to do so. Tummy tuck, gas tank skid that snugs the tank up more, etc...

Granted this is IF you decide to wheel it more later on. You may or may not want to do these upgrades later on.

Since Poster has LJ, no need SYE 'cause TC (NV241) flange is bolt-on and existing stock driveshaft is fine. Also driveshaft can handle the angle no problem. You will need to drop your Transfer case with 3 or 4 in suspension lift and skid plate spacers, but very common.

Guess I am going to talk with my installer and get his opinion. May just do the ultimate kit in the end.

Thanks for the feedback.

X2 on the savvy if it's a mall crawler 3" will be fine. Or if money isn't an issue a 4" clayton but that'll require a bunch of extra mods ie, sye cv brake line extensions to name a few

Best alternative to DPG OME Ultimate kit? LJ Rubi.

I just bought an 06 LJ Rubicon with auto trans. Love it so far and want to lift it and run 33's. This will basically be a mall crawler with an occasional offroad trip here in Florida (no big rocks etc). But I will be running heavier bumpers front and rear with a tire carrier and winch (which it already has on the stock bumper).

I am looking for between 3 and 4.5 inch lift. Price isn't an issue within reason. I just want the best ride possible with good off road capability as well.

I like the feedback I have read on the DPG Ultimate kit and may go that way in the end. But I am still hung up on not wanting to do a body lift. Although Dirk was very helpful and explained why the body lift makes sense.

So can anyone recommend an alternative that doesn't use the body lift so I have options?
