|marc1230||I did the same mod today - the fitment was imperfect , even after I relocated the air temp sensor, and removed the bottom clip-on hold-down from the wire assy. I think problem could be that when you screw in the mesh , attaching to the ribs at the bottom - you can slightly change the geometry of the original grill, and then it doesn't quite fit flush when you reattach. still thinking about whether it is worth it to retry or remove the mesh and start over|

Just installed insert yesterday. Quality looks good, Fits well, looks OEM. Caution: Use caution when sliding speed nuts over plastic ribs on lower grille guards. Nuts seem to be slightly undersized, compared to thickness of plastic ribs. Requires some force to get them into position. I had to use end of screwdriver handle to tap them into place, and due to force required, partially dislocated part of one plastic rib from the back of the grille assy. Everything still went into place and resulting install is secure. Also, the air temp sensor relocation is a snap, but you have to remove the bottom clip-on hold-down from the wire assy, as it does not allow the grille assy to be pushed back into place, with the insert installed.
