Or maybe someone blew up the old 44 and replaced it with a 35.. but that's kind of a far fetched idea. Usually it's the other way around. Maybe someone swapped it out while it was between owners or sumpin. I'd be kinda mad about it not having the 44.
From the research I did I found that the d44 was an option for the Sahara. It has all the other options just not the 44.

Oldguy Oh, it's loaded with goodies, full set of links, tummy tuck, sye and dc driveshaft, have to pop the diff covers and see what's inside. If it's stock gears, they're 3.73's. Has a D35, which is odd because I thought the Sahara came with a D44. The shocks that came off were Bilstein 5100's. Someone along the line put some serious work into that buggy.

BrianTG So the new shocks are on and pretty sweet.

As for the old ones I think we were all baffled to what could have happened. Ed has all 4 of the shocks and I think we were talkin about donating them to someone.

Either way, learned that the jeep has quite a bit of armor on it. I think Ed said he would help me compile a list of stuff that's on the jeep because I don't know whats what from what to what.

Hey, you're not the folks who have been looking for a small ranch in the Divide area, are you?
04-01-2012 09:26 PM
Oldguy Shocks should always be done in pairs, no exception on the the front. Do one and you will experience a whole new level of weird handling.
