Oh, while you're at it, upgrade to a stronger gas tank skid plate.

|KrzyMoke||Be careful removing the connections. Be sure to push the hose in before you try to pull out the clips. That will keep them from breaking. I recently pulled my tank and broke a hard to find clip. Now I have to do some runs to yards to find it. Slow and steady will get it done. Get help from a friend.|

Basic quick rundown...
remove screw from filler hose.
remove ground strap
loosen the skid plate nuts (4 at rear/ 3 on axle side)
Place jack under skidplate to lower it.
remove the 7 nuts holding the skid plate on
slowly lower the tank.
Once you have it down about 3 to 4 inches you will need to reach up and unplug the connectors from the tank
Once you have them disco'd from the tank......
drop it down and pull it out.
reverse for install.

Pulling fuel tank 2001 wrangler
Thinking i might do a pump change what does it entale to pull tank, do i need special tools for pump removal?
