Jerry Bransford Don't forget too that the engine fan is pulling air through the radiator.

Zurn Yeah, winch and cover should have little to no effect. Now, if you had something larger obstructing most of your grill, like say a bicycle messenger, you might have a problem then.

Jerry Bransford Installing a winch and winch cover will have an inconsequential effect on air flow to your radiator.

TJDave Nope. You're fine. I have never had a problem with my previous Smitty xrc8 with about the same profile as the M8000. Now I run a Warn XD9000i that takes up even more room. Still, no problem. I have friends that run the huge upright Warns on their Jeeps. Looks like it blocks the whole grille, lol. They have never had a problem.

Edit: not a dumb question at all.

Peepers no winch cover, but I don't have any issues with my xd9000i

Winch and airflow

Installed a Warn M8000. Put the winch cover on and maybe I watch too much nascar but will the obstructed airflow do any harm? Maybe a dumb question but my skin is thick
