I'm a US Army Vet masquerading around as an international vagrant while pretending to be a Program Manager in Government and Defense logistics in the Middle East and Africa. I get to deal with the DoD, local governments and Ministries of Defense for logistics moves in support of FMS and other goofy stuff.
Kind of fun till you come back to the US and have to go through customs and you have a 1 yr old passport that already has three inserts and is full of dodgey stamps and you are always that random person getting checked and questioned.
I'm looking to get home at the end of the year permanently. Wife says it is 'no bueno' anymore so she already moved back. Till I get back she will drive my Rubi I picked up a few weeks back.....sigh...

|slickrock steve||just retired from facility maintenance at Dryden Flight Research Center, NASA's finest facility at Edwards AFB. This is where the shuttles used to land when not coming into Florida. THIS is where Gen Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier for the first time. ( And lived through it!). Everything from the "Flying Beadstead" to the space suits have been tested, and evaluated here. In fact the newest F-35, and F-22 Joint strike fighters are and were tested and flown here. In fact they still fly the U-2 and the fleet of F-18's, and even several prop jobs like the "King Aire", I worked onb every thing from the "Mate-Demate-Device, to put the Shuttle back on the 747, to fly it back to White Sands, and then to Fla. To the toilets and sewers on base.|

If you don't mind me asking, what hospital/program? Feel free to pm also. Are you still in the navy? I was an Air Force medic also.
|03-15-2014 09:37 AM|
USDalum97 do you work in a hospital as well? I primarily work in the ER here, but also as part of a 3 nurse flight rotation, so basically I'll work four nights in the ER and two nights on the flight crew. Our current bird is a Eurocopter EC-145
