just ordered the OME stabilizer as well.. and i also just got everything minus springs and shocks, for my ultimate kit... i was thinking about putting the JKS bl and mml on this weekend.. i was just wondering if there was anything else that needs to be taken apart or loosened up that the directions dont mention.. and also is it best and or easier to install one or the other first.. or does it not even matter...

|slippy||shifting problems with the DPG ultiment kit are only for standerd jeeps right? i have an automatic and im buying the dpg ultiment kit aswell, i wont have to worry about this tho correct?|

Hulkboy, OME makes a steering stabilizer as well. It'd match your shocks!
I have a Tuffy console and had no problems with the shifter after doing the BL/MML setup. Not sure if the hole is bigger/shifted forward a bit or what.
As far as other stuff to make the install easier:
- Jack stands
- Floor Jack
- Spring compressor - rent from Autozone (free after deposit returned)
- TR puller - to remove stabilizer (free after deposit returned)
- Tape measure (to line up axles when doing the adj track bars)
- A friend - makes install easier and faster if each of you can do an axle.
Probably your most time consuming part, other than taking parts off, will be aligning the axles and setting your adj track bars. This will likely be a step that takes a few times to get right.

duct tape, bailing twine, a box of 1-1/2" drywall screws, a bottle of aspirin, and maybe some band aids, and a screw gun.

|hulkboy||oh ok i see trip.. so i guess i will upgrade the stabilizer then.. and thanks again for the info jeepers... it looks like i will be making a new list of things to purchase tomorrow.. anything else anybody thinks i will be needed to complete my kit??|

If you are going to replace your stabilizer, go ahead and upgrade.
As far as shifter issues on your model, just the boot is not the only fix. The 4wd shifter can bind on you as well. It is attached to the body via a crappy bushing setup. It's best to replace, especially if you are going to use a body lift. There are a few aftermarket pieces out there that mount your t-case shifter directly to the t-case and eliminates the body connection, something Jeep should have done to begin with.

If you're getting a new stabelizer i'd get something other than stock.

|hulkboy||wow so that rubber cover is the boot?? and its what keeps it from shifting... oh good i was thinking it was going to be something under the jeep or something like that.. at least that looks relatively easy for me to do myself.. now i just gotta twittle my thumbs while i wait for my kit to arrive..|

it will ride much better than stock.
about the bl, mml.. when you lift your tub the tranny wont move so the shifter might rub on the boot (stock boot is hard)

Then install is easy, Start on the bodylift and mml friday after school (be done in 4-5 hrs) saturday mourning start the lift kit and be done saturday night or sunday mourning.
I have my stock stabelizer on with my 35s.. no probs yet.

PURCHASED the dpg ultimate kit.. couple Q's
now i have a couple of questions... now i got the HD springs w/the kit... i was just wondering what other options he had.. will my lift be as high as others with the HD springs, or are there other springs that will take it a little higher up?? the reason i ask is because i am dead set on running 33 m/ts and want to make sure its gonna drive as well as look good...
another question i have is with installing the jks bl/mml... i have been reading on JEEPREVIEWS.com that after the install some people had problems shifting into certain gears and that they had to get a new "boot".. i have NO idea what that means.. just wondering if anyone else had those problems as well??
oh and as far as the install goes is a weekend enough time to get everything installed as well as work out all the bugs with the lift?? i ask because with work and school im gonna have to set up some time to do the lift..
also since my steering stabilizer needs to be replaced because its leeking will a new stock one work with the 33s or should i get an aftermarket one.. which ones would you recommend??
