Rattle/squeak around clutch/transmission

Hello,

This is my first time post/thread, so please bear with me.

I have a 2001 TJ 4.0l 5speed with about 144k miles. I have owned the jeep since 2008, and about a year ago my clutch went out. In January(I hope this is of relevance), my jeep was ran into in my neighborhood, actually costing $7,000 in damages. The auto shop fixed everything, even giving me a brand new front axle. So I am not sure if this would be a factor in what im dealing with.

So here is the "issue". Yesterday, at the college I commute to, I put the jeep into first gear and I heard rattling noise that came from underneath the stick shift. The Rattle noise was brief, and then a squeking noise happened. And this is never happened i figured that i would rev up the engine a bit, and the rattling/squeky noise was "in tune" or would match the revving of my engine. I assume, even though I am a Noob, that it would have to be clutch/transmission related.

Please throw out some ideas, or similiar experiences. If I can do it myself, it would be awesome, because im a poor college student!
