I have a 3 1/2" lift? It came with jeep and I been running 34" Ltbs for a couple of years

|birtydugger||hi jeepgirl,..i also have a 4.5" lift (rubicon HD extreme springs), but i cut between 1"-2" of fender out with a grinder and trimmed the outer curve off my bushwacker flares also, added a 1"body lift..and 1" extended polymer bumpstops, it has given me lots of extra room if i want to go from 33" to 35" with zero rubbing when flexed out offroading, my front and rear shackles are currie boomerangs (3/8"of lift) adds just a little more height without any steering issues. try these cheap options out...good luck|

If you have a shackle reversal, STAY SWAY from a shackle lift!!!!!
Bumpsteer, driveline angles, and odd on road handling will PLAGUE you.
A springover will ride same as you are now..
with the exception of higher center of gravity(bodyroll)
This can be fixed with shocks, swaybars, and stiffened bushings.
The flares would be the most cost effective fix.

|Xpress||You need to start modifying your fenders. Even then 35" tires are going to be a tight squeeze, so you might consider dropping back to 33" tires. Flat fenders is what I would be looking at with such tire sizes, or going to SOA, but SOA requires a good amount of effort to pull off properly. Not to mention it lifts a Jeep 5-6" on stock leafs, you would be looking at almost 10" of lift on your Jeep with those leafs.|

|Nubby55||The Black Bushwacker Fender flares, would help alot, you can save money and build a bastard pack of springs for the rear by just adding one more leaf to what you have now, get new spring bolts at NAPA and a pair of springs from --?-- junk yard, next door, and old truck or jeep or something that about right for the job.|

|BDK||How old is that lift? You are sagging a lot! I would check the shocks and springs. You should be able to run 35" tires with a 4in suspension lift and 1" body. Yours looks more like a 2.5" lift right now!|

And yes, my jeep does sit lower than normal. I'm guessing I'll need to look at the shocks if a shackle lift doesn't fix it. It sagged pretty bad with my camping gear in the back, I can only imagine what it'll do if I put a seat back there and have passengers. (the picture shows my jeep with only a tool box in the rear... Not good)

|year1camaro||My friend is 265lbs. and when he jumped in the back of my jeep it didn't sag. Your rig does look a little lower in the rear. Are your springs new? I'm not sure what comes with a 4.5 inch skyjacker lift or how old the lift is on your rig. But it does seem to sit lower in the rear.|

Look for some type of flat fenders, I used Metalcloak and it opened my wells up a lot. I can 40's if I want to with just a 1.5in SOA lift.
@jaywalk 37's are heavy you will more then lift. You will need gears, stronger steering joints, ball joints, hubs, brakes, front axle shafts. I use mines as a DD with other then the constant viberation in the front end from an unbalanced drive line its all good. Use SOA springs if you use SUA springs it will give you a rock hard ride on and off road. To do a proper SOA it will cost you. Mine cost over 2k and I did all the work. Not including the $2200 I spent beefing up my Dana 30 to handle 37's.

A shackle lift might fix it with some extended bump stops.
Cut your fenders too or run tj flares and cut out some metal. I raised my yj flares about and inch. Also maybe small body lift...
SOA is great if you want a big lift though. it would net you 4-5" more than you have now most likley.

4 1/2 lift but tires still rub - shackles?
I have an 88 YJ. 4 1/2" skyjacker lift, 35" BFG M/T, howell fuel injection, SYE, shackle reversel, 8.8 rear with lockrite, dana 30 front with 4x4 posi lock and a soft locker, 4.10 gears, an AX-15, & new HD drive shafts.
That being said, my tires are rubbing against the fender flares when I drive (it's actually making a pretty bad sound) and when I'm offroading, the back tires hit the fenders.
It was suggested to me that I should look into doing a 6" spring over, but I recently learned about shackles. I only need a few more inches of lift for the fender flares to be saved, but I want to make sure I am doing the right thing for my Jeep.
Also - (related or not, I'm not sure) I think there might be an issue with the suspension being 'soft' because I took the Jeep camping and with 2 coolers, a tool box and some gear, the rear end of the Jeep was sagging. Do you think a shackle lift or spring over would fix that at all?
I know what's in my Jeep, I just don't know where all of it is located or what it all does, so please give me your best advice in Laymans terms, lol!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
