jpdocdave it came straight out of a caravan, enjoy.

i have not looked at it personally, since i haven't seen a jk in the shop yet, but as far as i'm concerned, thats what it is. 3.8 has been in chrysler/dodge mini vans for quite a while, and its a good motor.

Origin of 3.8 Liter?

I am confused I was told before the new jk's came out that the new 3.8 Liter was a mercedes engine Part of the old Daimler Chrysler merger. Yet, I read around on this forum and people are saying it is the chrysler van engine. Which is it or is it both. The big question is, is it a mercedes engine or not?
