RubiCobra Lining the tub has been on my list for a looooooong time. Just when I get ready to do a spray in job, I find Monstaliner and in a perfect color. Like it was meant to be. The problem is now I'm doing way more than I had oringinally planned. Starts like this: Ok, so I gotta strip the interior out. What else should I do while the interior's out?.... *Credit card comes out*

Big-Bender Man that looks great! I did the floors in my old jeep but the jeep was black, but i do have to say that red and black look does look nice. i just had to take my carpet out of my current jeep after having water up to my shins a few weekends ago so thats my next project on this one!

Depends on who you ask.

I prefer Monstaliner's texture to that of Herculiner. I've also heard that herc can fade in the sun, but Monstaliner's got UV protection and after nearly 2 years, mine has yet to fade.

Monstaliner's texture, to me, is more like Line-x. Textured, but not rough. And it is easy to clean.

Regardless of which you choose, the quality of the job and the durability depends 100% on the prep work. Doing the prep work SUCKS no matter HOW you look at it. But WELL worth it when it is done.

denisbaldwin Mine was lined by the previous owner and his liner job leaves alot to be desired. I think while I have the seats out I might as well re-do the liner the right way.

Thanks everyone.

I did not use chassis saver. I didnt have any rust. I got a little over zealous with my sanding prep work and brought it down to bare metal in some spots so I primered those spots before lining it. The kit comes with two rollers and I used one for the first coat and the fresh one for the second coat. I had enough left over where I could have done maybe another coat or my fender flares or bumpers etc. There is a lot of brush work. I picked up a three pack consisting of a 1", 2", and 3" brushes. The 1" brush was really handy in the tighter spots.

Monstaliner done!

I had it stripped and had to wait 6 days with my Jeep in stripped down in my garage for 5 days. Took a while to get here in CA from NY. Free shipping though so no worries.

As far as the kit goes everything is very good, wasn't a hard job at all. I would recommend getting a few extra paint brushes. After the first coat I the brush was hammered so I had to get some more. Between coats I brewed a batch of beer and it was ready for the second coat. This morning i had some spots that I missed and it was still good in the can you can see in some of these pics a few I missed it was much easier to see in the sun where I had.

heres some pics
