I helped to remove them once when I accidently locked someone's keys in their Jeep that had a hardtop, windows rolled up, and engine on.

a retard with a 12" length of iron pipe can snap them off in about 10 seconds... they do it with those locking lugnuts all the time(and a lug bolt is MUCH more significant than a door pin), adding a couple dollars to the insurance claim, and leaving you on your own on the expense of the anti-theft nuts, because your ins. co. is not going to cover the cost of the defeated anti-theft device you installed (unless you also have renters ins. that covers your cargo).

tobkis Seems if they truly want them they will get them. Secure it the best you know how and enjoy. Life's to short to worry.

What sucks is you have to modify your lifestyle because of others.

This is clearly the best solution! With my old Wranglers, I seldom had the doors on, but my wife is driving this one a fair amount and will have them on when it is cold.

Sjeupie I saw a youtube video once where-in they actually 'steel' the doors of a Jeep which had a hardtop on (it was a demonstration). Don't have any experience with the product you mention though.

Door security - what is the best solution

Quadratec Exclusive DNJK4 - Anti-Theft Hinge Pin Nuts for 07-12 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door - Quadratec

Tuffy 164-01 - Tuffy Security Products JK Security Door Locker for 07-12 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door - Quadratec

I'm looking at the above products because I have some worry about the doors being stolen. Has anyone tried these or does anyone have any thoughts? The quadratic brand seems to be defeated by anyone with a decent toolset.
