wmwhitey I have stock gears in my JK and a set of 35's on the jeep I can still go as fast but at higher RPM's and it is harder on the engine to get to that speed I am going with 4.88 gears cause I am adding weight also to the jeep. You dont want to regear then add more to your jeep and have to do it again make sure you do it rite the first time like. I also am doing lockers front and back so they dont have to mess with my gears twice take your time and get it all in one shot.

Another Regear Question

So I'm going to be going to 33s soon and will be doing a regear next as soon as I save up the money as I have 3.07 gears now.

My question is, with the larger tires and these gears is my top speed actually limited or does it just take longer to accelerate?

This seems like a stupid question to me but I don't think I've ever come across an answer for it. Thanks in advance.
