jpdocdave but you replaced the maxi fuses right?
04-28-2008 10:58 PM
skeeter I found 3 maxi fuses blown but they weren't for fuel or ignition. all the other fuses I can find are good.
I've swapped all the relays around with known working ones.
No, I don't know anyone with a 91 Wrangler.

jpdocdave wow, that sucks. you're positive all fuses and relays are good? do you know someone w/ same year jeep you could swap computer to try?
04-28-2008 09:02 PM
skeeter It's a 91 with the 4 banger and 5 speed.

Engine cranks, no spark, no fuel.
Check engine comes on when you crank it.

jpdocdave do you have dash lights, check engine come on w/ key on, and so on? engine cranks, but no spark, or fuel pressure?

what year, and engine?
04-28-2008 10:59 AM
skeeter Middle of the night rush to jump start a dead battery and jumper cables with blue and black clamps rather than red and black ended up with crossed cables and a dead Jeep.
All my fuses are good, I have no fuseable links, and I find no burned wires yet I get no power to the fuel pump or ignition so I assume I have a bad computer.

jpdocdave thats a tough one. i don't think they're the same. if you found one from same year, and transmission maybe you'd have luck. it is possible to use xj computer and wiring harness, w/ some mods to make it work. do you just need a computer? how come? rare failure.
04-28-2008 10:07 AM
skeeter Nobody?
