Plop Stopped driving the Jeep and parked it. I ended up buying a newish F150, so I now have the abilities to tow the jeep places instead of taking my chances just driving it.

Good news/ Bad news:

Good- I can make the Jeep as intense as I can afford now. And mostly for offroad/ less street legal.
Bad news- I won't have a ton of extra money to throw at the Jeep due to the new truck.

Plop It was a PITA to prep, a ton of taping to get it the way it is.

Plop Not really much of anything to update.
But as a surprise I have kept this over a year and a half now *one of the longest lasting things I have owned. I have been contemplating getting rid of it though.

Over the summer I repainted the back of the jeep and will have to get a pic tomorrow after work.

Plop Still have the red Jeep and might use that as a dd and get rid of my lowered sonoma.

Plop Had the Blue Jeep over a year now. * A mile stone compared to the length I keep most things *

I have a full time welding job finally and on average been working 52 hours there: Mon- Sat. Oh and its at Roush
And still working retail at Lowe's unloading trucks in the evening Sun- Thurs: 20 hours

Hopefully this summer I will be able to work on the Jeep and get rid of all the rust on the body. Do body work and get it painted Inca Gold Pearlcoat.

rust free tailgate from my other TJ
Plastics
painted flares
and put my old black soft top on
Most definitely presentable now and nothing to be embarrassed for driving.
Is this the sameone that had the. White fenders? If so it looks a hella lot better....

Robertlena2 i like the latch too, cool idea

Plop Got the drivers fender on the red jeep all done. No more swiss cheese fender. I have to buy a brand new fender for the passenger side because it is beyond worth the trouble to fix.

Well that's the smart way to do it... I started doing that with the CJs but they are both in such good shape I don't want to strip one to make another....

Plop Well the third TJ didn't work out, I was a little late.

Plop Been working on the drivers fender, just have to put the final coat on then I will be off to the pass side.

And a pic of the tailgate on the blue one because I forgot to get one up.

Plop Been working on the new to me TJ.

Replaced the tailgate with the old one from the blue Jeep, ordered the plastic diamond plate corners, under the gate, and the rockers. Sanded and painted the fender flares, sold the hard top and put my old black soft top on. Got a better hood and made some fender patches. Did some painting. I found out that one of the Valspar red spray paint cans is an extemely close match.

More pics when I get closer to finishing.

Plop Thanks, its coming along finally

Boobicon Awesome man ... Snorkel looks great
11-02-2012 08:56 PM
Plop Update:
-Got snorkel and put it on
-Painted the back of the jeep, not quite the same color but I like it and plan on painting the whole thing the same

Traded my explorer for a 98 4.0L stick TJ 200k miles, needs work, but is salvagable.

More pics eventually.

Plop Getting a snorkel today for the Jeep. It's getting close to the point of how I want the Jeep to be.
09-30-2012 05:53 PM
Plop I got the whole lift on, only a couple things I have to do. First I have to get the bolts for the alignment on the front lower control arm then I want to swap the transfer case drop pegs for the square tube that the new lift came with.

Plop Busy day today, started a little before 10am with the exhaust: manifold and down pipe. Then I started the 4" lift, I have the back done and just need to the front in the morning. I finished for the night at about 9:30pm, wish I could get paid to work on my own stuff.
09-22-2012 06:33 PM
Plop Finally have a pic of the fender. Its not quite the same color, but I like it better and bought 6 more cans to get me started or other parts of the jeep.

09-22-2012 11:51 AM
Plop Yup lol.

I got the lift, but wasn't able to get the guy to go any lower. I was just a tad late on the tires, they were gone by the time I got a hold of the guy.

Don't we all just want that extra inch?

ken78744 Got and pics of the new fender on there??? Would like to see the lift too....

Plop Back at it again. Went to the junkyard to get a hood for a coworker, and found a TJ in the yard. I got a fender and a windshield frame which were surprisingly in good condition.

Started working on the fender and got it on for the most part. Just have to finish a few more things on it then paint.
