hey, you dont need to add a bunch of components. most lift kits come with the components you need, like a drop pitman arm, all the bolts and stuff, and maybe a transfer case drop kit too to cut down on the driveline angles. also, to reduce driveline angles with something better than a band-aid (like the drop kit), a lot of people get a slip yoke eliminator on the rear drive shaft, and a new cv driveshaft to accomodate the SYE, but im runnin my 94 with a 3" lift and its fine with the transfer case drop kit. then again i dont really do much offroadin since i use it as a DD to and from school.
the only thing i think you really need to buy extra are new shocks and maybe brake lines if u go with a lift that your current brakelines will be too short for....
im no expert, so maybe someone else can back me up on this...

new leaf springs
Looking to get new leaf srpings for my 95 YJ. A little confused though. When the manufacturer says a 3.5" lift does this mean i need to add a bunch of components?? I'm just lloking to change out the springs.
I was originally looking to do just a shackle lift but the springs are flat and figure I might as well invest in new springs instead. I'm not looking to tower the jeep but give it a little more hieght to fit 31's and give it a more aggressive look. Would oem springs accomodate this??
The first thing the wife said when she saw it was "You're going to lift that thing...right??". LOL!!!
