dieselgus1 Yea I have a factory soft top with the pointed corners and the doors i got are rounded corner. I do need a new softtop regardless so maybe i should take a look and see who has one that will work with rounded hard doors. Ill get a pic up here too

cushtech Do you have a hard top or soft top?

If you have a hard top the top, back ends of both doors should both be round.

If you have a factory soft top your soft upper doors will be pointed and the full, hard doors won't work well with it. Most aftermarket soft tops ( Bestop Supertop etc) will work with the full, hard doors.

Hard top and full hards doors - no problem.
Put the doors on. If the door doesn't close properly you'll have to loosen the hinges up to tweak things. It helps to have someone else around to hold the door up while you loosen and tighten the hinges. Roll down the window so you can hold the door up by the window frame.

Pics will help...

jpdocdave they will fit in the hinges, there is some combo of yj top and door that doesn't work i thought. i always forget. maybe soft top w/ pointed corners in door jam. steel doors are rounded. there's threads here about it, but i never remember the outcome. i like those soft upper replacements that have the sliding window. they seem cool, i've never tried it though.

YJ soft to hard door swap

Has anyone done a door swap or does anyone know what to do to accomplish it? I have a 95 with soft upper doors and since it went through a hurricane, the doors dont seal very tight. Since then i moved to alaska and its quite cold out in jan with what may as well be open doors. I got a set of hard doors from a 93 but on visual inspection they look like they are a bit different in shape than the soft doors. Any help is appreciated!!
