dustin maybe an exhaust leak... they will make noise that sounds like ticking, then when the motor gets hot the gasket expands and quits leaking. just a suggestion!

jpdocdave engine oil flush works well, just buy the junk at the parts store, put it in and run it for 5 mins, then change oil. let oil drip for as long as you can. lucas also works well, but for that new of a jeep i don't think you should have to do anything else

parrot head Try some marvel mystery oil next time you change the oil. If it is a stuck lifter the mystery oil should un stick it.

2005 Lifter(?) tick

Hey Jeepers!!!

From a cold engine, I get a tick (lifter?) untill the temp is just about normal.
2005 Ruibcon
61,000 miles
Oil pressure is normal
Oil level good
I changed the oil, used a BOSCH filter, GTX high milage, Lucas oil additive, no change.

Got any ideas?

anyone know it this might be covered by the Jeep 7/70?
