another +1 for Goodyear DuraTracs; just put them on my Jeep a couple weeks ago, and I love them!

Welcome to the Forum
You are right about brand loyalty and you will probably get a different answer from each responder. As for me, I've been running the Goodyear Duratracs since they were first introduced. I've been running the same tires for 4+ years and absolutely love them. They handle everything I can throw under them and have great road manners. I love the agressive appearance as well. They have become very popular with the Wrangler crowd.

Ole farts can be noobs too, while not new to off roading, I am new but with an old(er) jeep. Recently picked up a '93 Wrangler Sahara yj and am seeking some advise... ole dogs do learn new tricks. I am in search for tires and just as one fellow likes Ford, the other Chevy and so on and so on, I know some of you have preferences as well.
What I have is as stated, '93 wrangler yj, 4.0 HO, 5-sp stick, that much I do know. I am as well guessing by the way the jeep sits, it has possibly a 2-1/2" lift and is wearing 31-10.5 street treads. I am staying with the 31/10's but want something that will travel highway, plow deep snow and dig me out of a bog, noise is not an issure, I'm in it for fun, not comfort, else I'd kept my '05 Silverado. Bottom line, too many choices for me to narrow down on my own and rather ask those out there that have tried and tested the different tread patterns and makes of tires.
Many thanks and I am still browsing all the post for many good tips and tricks.
