RocC Killer,
btw what tires, rims and lift are those your sporting? Did it change your street ride much?
07-31-2013 11:28 AM
Sheriv I did the setup like killerbee using the plumbing stuff in the sides and tucked in the top. If there was a hard rain or from certain directions water got in but, not too bad.

RocC Those seem like a lot more work (and $) than just popping the freedom panels back on and the duster/jammer, or am I wrong?

lee indy get a soft top with the sun rider feature.
or
rampage just released their trail top

RocC Wanted to resurrect this thread and know more about how well it protects from rain? Does a gap exist up top or just the sides with the Pipe wrapping fix. I'd like to find something here for Galveston area as I can get caught it the rain at any moment and if I could run the jammer Duster hiding the freedom panels underneath until it rains that would be great!

I am anxious to see this because I am going to use this set up. And am concerned about rain getting in since I will be running it all summer in the Chicago area.

Again i think some are confused. You can not run the freedom top with the wrap around windjammer because the door surrounds need to be installed. And you cant have the door surounds on with the freedom tops. I run the standard wind jammer along with the freedom tops. Tis set up is not water tight so i only run it in nice weather. So no i do not have the sound bar cap.

killerbee812 I gives the screw something to hold. If not used there is not much in that area and will bow the panel if screwed to tight.

lee indy ^^ id ditn know that. never noticed a problem
04-27-2012 03:49 AM
killerbee812 Mine is not the wrap around. Mine is the regular windjammer. The wraparound will require door surrounds, and you can’t put the freedom tops on with door surrounds. Yes i drive mine every day. You can have just the freedom tops installed. Just make sure your flip the plastic piece up in the back per the owner’s manual.

Sheriv Killerbee812, Have you driven with your wraparound windjammer and just the front of the freedom top on? Just wondering if that is safe. I was not sure if you could use the front without the back and will stay securely on? I love the look of the duster and want to do something easy for the summer. But also worried about rain getting inside. Thanks for the pics!

MaudieHilli the wrap probably wont work.

Jeeplover1 I run a safari top with mine.. It goes acroos the back two seats
04-11-2012 09:28 PM
lee indy Looks like maybe a top. That covers 2 seats would work better with the hammer deck cover

rics1997 Would like to find some side windows that someone took off because of scratches/damage/ or even to replace with tinted windows so I can cut them up and make wraps to hook into the door surrounds and wrap around to the roll bar. Sew on straps to tie them off to the roll bar top and bottom.

I am surprised no company has made these.
04-11-2012 09:56 AM
rics1997 Now the top corner straps of the windjammer normally goes over the top roll bar/sound bar but to get it more loose so to get the seat further back I put it on the side roll bar. I got about 5 to 6 extra inches of seat room

04-11-2012 09:50 AM
rics1997 Turned cold so I didn't want to install my windows again so added the windjammer back on. It got a little wrinkled in storage because it fell over but the seats should held stretch it back out, lol

One thing about having the Safari top on instead of the bikini is that I can leave the Windjammer a little more lose and move the straps back a little. Now the seat are not uncomfortable like it was with the bikini on. Much better feel this way. I don't mind the Windjammer with this set up. Huge difference

Here was the pic of the noodle between the roll bar and the door surround to cut air flow between that area and helps blowing rain from getting in around the door surrounds

Pic of just installed windjammer with safari top

Took some quick pictures. Sorry about the messy garage.

looks like this is what im doing. what windjammer did you order? which part number?
04-08-2012 11:30 PM
Vin It won't work with the Wraparound Windjammer. You need the door surrounds on for the Wraparound Windjammer. With the door surrounds on, you can't use the Freedom Top panels.
04-08-2012 07:03 PM
killerbee812 Oh yeah i have the seats back all the way. It wouldnt be so bad if not for these dang angles head rests, but fits me ok. I'm only 5'10 so no giant.
