Boo97wrangler Just purchased my first jeep about 3 months ago and love it. 97 tj 4.0. I have not yet experienced the DW yet though! Good luck!

I honestly think a SOA'd YJ way outrides a TJ, but that's just me
I'm with ya there

RedBones I would say TJ. I had a YJ and I loved it, but it road like a 2x4 on wheels.

BigDog21 I've had both. Loved 'em both. TJ rides much smoother. Soft top seems quieter, but is definitely easier to take down or put back up. I have experienced DW with my TJ (bad tires. replaced & no more DW) Both have pros & cons, many of which have been listed in this thread. What its gonna come down to is driving a TJ since you're familiar with YJ's, so at least you have a comparison., then go with what you like. IMHO, either way, you can't go wrong.

Johnrmclean Jeepster...I just got over the DW in my YJ.......fortunatly it turned out to be bad belts in the Toyo 235/75 tires..

mjf232 YJ, cheaper, is the original wrangler, looks better (imo), and mainly cause I had one, which was my first jeep and car I bought and have a lot of good memories thanks to it

Irongrave depends on your long term plans basic to mild a TJ is a good rig, wild to stupid then run a YJ because they are cheeper with the same rough parts that you would keep if your doing axle swaps and such

Zurn Had a YJ, loved it. Got a TJ. Love it. Biggest difference I see is the TJ rides a bit smoother on the road. Test drive a TJ and then decide.

Ibuildembig YJ, cheaper, easier, and no DW

Which way to go ...YJ vs TJ ????

I've had a few YJ's and currently selling my 94 4cyl and was planning to go to a TJ but now, I'm having second thoughts!!! Should I go TJ or stick with YJs??

Please help me make up my mind. Which is better and why. I'm going back to a 6cy for sure. Your opinions are appreciated.

Thanks!
