I went with the soft top, my goal is to get this dual sunroof hard top for the winter. My Jeep profile is slowly getting updated with pics as well as specs.

|RoozNetIT||Thanks again to all, i just got back from the dealer. If all goes according to their plan, i should pick up my unlimited sport with the 24S package and nothing else by Thursday. I already have nav/mp3/dvd/BT head unit and will upgrade the speakers and put in a sub. I'm also going to get the bikini top and windjammer.|

|dabolt55||Welcome Rooz, I say soft top, just for your convenience while at your apt., there is a little noise difference, but my wife thinks it's more, definitely your choice. Good luck..|

|christoph||while i love the hard top, when i lived in an apartment i had the same question of where to store it? ultimately i had no garage, shed, etc. so i decided to get the soft top and it was a good cover year round, even when going skiing in the mountains. i'd say go for the soft top.|

Thank you thank you and more thank you's. I can't wait!
Anyone have any feedback on the cabin noise while driving with a hard top or soft top? Is it a huge difference?

|RoozNetIT||Thank you thank you!! I would love to have both and eventually will. Is there going to be any installation issues if I don’t get the hard top pre-installed? The overall consensus is that the dealer’s hard top is no different than the aftermarket ones and it shouldn’t be an issue. Just now while researching I came across this hard top that kind of makes me want to wait and just get the soft top first.|

|hbgirl||welcome Rooz! No advice on which top; I went with soft top, and have no plans to get the other. But like everything else, it's all about personal choice, and there's never a wrong decision when trying to decide between the two. I know, I know ... that wasn't helpful at all, haha.|

Jeep Wrangler NOOB
My name is Rooz, and if all goes well i will be a new '12 Unlimited Sport Silver owner. I have a lot of learning to do and have already benefited greatly from many of your opinions on what to and/or not to get.
I've always loved the Wrangler from way back and would have bought one sooner if i could have afforded it.
I do however have a question for anyone with a new '12 unlimited. I'm debating whether i should buy the hard top or soft top. I understand it's a personal preference and i want both. But i live in an apartment building and didn't even think about the hard top removal & storage issue. I was wondering if its better to go with the soft top now and come winter time figure something out for the hard top? How come the same freedom hard tops are close to $3K online when its only $800ish from the dealer. Anyone happen to have the measurements for the hard top?
Thanks cant wait!
