No 4" would be fine

Yep. I have the same wheels with 12.5 and they stick out pretty far. I don't have a "down the side" picture but you can see a little in this shot. The entire row of outside lugs are outside of the flare. Illegal yes, but I'm risking it until I can score MCEs

Look at my post up a little higher... my tires stick out ¾" with 3⅝" backspacing 31-10.5's
Your wheel and tires would stick out ¾" more (½" wider tire and about ¼" less backspacing

TnDz TJ I have Mickeys at 3.75 BS. With a 12.50 wide 33" DuraTrac, I hang out about 2.5" of my flares

ScubaSteve01 Ok, first post,

I am also not an expert but the set up I'm planning on running is a 2.5 inch suspension lift and 32x11.5 tires. How much back spacing would I need to avoid rubbing? I know there's a million posts about this type of thing but what I see most is posts about running 33s on a 3 or 4" inch lift. I want to lift it as little as possible as a 2.5 inch lift with the larger diameter tires will lift my rig almost 4 inches depending on how relaxed the 13 year old stock coils are.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

wwch99tj Yes you can but 11.5 wide tires will rub the control arms you will need wheel spacers or new wheels with less backspacing

gibsonn14 Ok, but can I put 11.5 wide tires on that rim or is that just too big haha, it seems crazy but I'm not an expert

Your wheels are either 7" or 8" wide the 9.5" is how wide the tread is on the tires

MD4P I'll check tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure I have 32s and I no I don't have a lift lol

kshaws21 It's according to your needs. I have 7" flares. The look isn't as agressive as it was with the factory flares but it is now much more functional. The day a rock came flying off of my tires and hit me in the head was the day I decided on bigger flares. Not only do the bigger flares keep out the rocks, but keeps the mud under them instead of flying everywhere. I don't like to have any more mud on the sides of my Jeep than necessary. By the way I have 32-11.50s with a 2" BB lift.

wwch99tj Here's Dick Cepeck DC-2 wheels with 3⅝" backspacing
31-10.5-15 and sahara flares(4¼" wide)
Tires stick out about ¾"

BLK00TJ It'll mostly depend on the wheel backspacing. If you're running stock wheels the tire will only stick out about 1/2" more assuming yours came with 30x9.5. For 1/2", I'd probably run stock flares unless the laws don't allow it in your area. Otherwise I'd look into Sahara or Rubi flares. You may be able to find a set on CL from someone upgrading to tubes

Fender Flare size for 32's and no lift

Hey everyone, I was wondering if there is a common size of aftermarket fender flares for 32 inch tires 10.5 wide, give or take an inch.

I saw 6 inch flares and 7 inch flares online, and I'm pretty sure the sahara flares are 41/2" so I just don't want the flares to cause the jeep to look stupid.

Any input would be great, thanks
