I know this was briefly discussed but does anyone else have any experience with the life of the bulb? Everywhere I check online says it only lasts 25 hours.

Converting NAPA Lights to GE4509's
Hey....my first post here....GREAT INFORMATION you all have provided.
Thought I would share what I found out when I went to buy my two lights.
Found all the parts I needed and went to pay for them....AS I WAS CHECKING OUT....the parts guy looks at me and says...
"You can buy these work lights with the 4509 bulb already installed and save some money...." I say WHAT...???!!!
NAPA PART NUMBER 80374
Sure enough, same work light for $11.99 + tax and the same bulb as I was buying separately for $18.69 + tax, you can buy entire assembled light (same rubber housing) for $23.49 + tax...Saved $15.57 and the time it would have taken to change out the bulbs.
Look forward to getting these installed....on my boat

|Neffco||Just ordered mine on amazon. Sweet write up. I never thought lights should be so expensive. The par36 is the same housing I use for my work lamp on my welding rig, just never knew about the ALL 4509 upgrade. Who'd uh thunk?|

UPDATE: you can now buy par36 LED bulbs from various places. Just search them online to find the one you want. They will be brighter, less power draw, and different color options.

yup with my mtn bike tire remove it work as well! thanks!

I thought the same thing after I got mine together. Ended up using windex as a lubricant and motorcycle tire removal tool. Its a little wider and will grab the inside of the rubber housing. The windex lets it slide around a little easier.

|99er||I installed 2 par 34 lights with the aircraft landing light bulbs ge 4509. Wow, they burn like the sun. I put them up front next to my winch on each side and ran wire back to a relay I mounted near the battery. I also installed a dash switch that goes to the relay. I tapped into the radio for the switch power so the light cannot be left on after the key is turned off. The TJ has the 117 amp alternator and the gauge does not move when I turn on the two 100 watt bulbs. Looks like these will work well even though they have a short bulb life.|
